Does this always happen if you’re processing?
Ours had no bars and the same message yesterday. The first bar was there on Wednesday. I viewed online transcripts this morning and we have 846 refund code and DDD of 02/05.
Wait 3 weeks if efile. If you efile and still see nothing after 21 calendar days call IRS and ask what’s going on. If they say wait for a letter in the mail immediately ask for a tax advocate. My sister went through that in 2015. She filed in January that message appeared and stayed. She waited the three weeks after efile. Still had same message. She asked for a tax advocate in February 2015 and did not receive her refund until the 1st week in April 2015. I can’t say rather or not it’s the same for everyone but she was definitely under manual review at the LEAST. It ended up being because she gota name change and she assumed that the SSA would let the IRS know but no thats not what happened. I hope everything works out for you and maybe everything is ok. I just know it’s different for everyone because I’ve heard some people claim they’ve gotten that message and their bars returned. Honestly only the IRS knows.
It happened to me when the PATH Act started to come into play a few years back. I just looked at it as a normal thing that happens to us PATHers. If you are not a PATH Act filer, then you shouldn’t worry unless it’s been 21 days after e-filing or 6 weeks if you filed a paper return.
I HAVE A LONG WAIT. I am a pather. Mine is still on 1 bar. Accepted Jan 21st. HOPING for my refund to hit around the 18th.
@dee dub . Happened to me last year. Same message and never changed. About 2 weeks later I get an ID verification in the mail. Nothing wrong with my return but it was the 1st of April when I got my refund🤷♂️
Mine disappeared with a message saying Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.
I’m afraid I’m being audited. But I hope not.
No they go away about a week after filing but I think I only update weekly. Then they stay that way until it updates to my ddd
Is it usually the day before you get a ddd that they go away?
Mine disappear just about every year until it updates to approved
