Bars and tax topic gone

My bar and tax topic 152 is gone. There’s no record of my return all of a sudden .

I was told I was under review when I called the Irs to order my transcripts. The person I spoke with said it could take anywhere to 45 days which would put me st April 1. He said if I received a letter it would be CP something. This has never happened to me. Will it take that long and what can I expect ? Will I see a update tonight or will they hold it until they’re finished reviewing me ?

UPDATE: APPROXIMATELY 545pm cst
I received text update from net spend I received federal refund. No special credits,no kids.
ALSO,my sister filed and accepted 2/2
3 kids,received her state last week
She received her federal today as well
Turbo tax used to file and both using net spend.
WMR has generic msg : return being processed. Tt 152 (still showing at this time.)

Updated today 2/16
No bars
No tax topic 152
Refund amt still there
My concern is that it says the still says Processing but does NOT say a refund day/direct deposit date will be made when available or whatever the verbiage is….as many seem to be saying. Hoping something changes tomorrow.

Thanks. I had to ID verify last year, I know something is up again this year. I don’t even care what it is at this point I just want info so I can move on with my life. Lol

Mine says “being processed.” There isn’t a still in the statement. The letter is actually saying we owe a payment for last year? I’ll take that vs an ID verify letter.

Thanks@luckymissrose, keep us posted. Just curious if your message says still processing or is being processed. There seems to be a debate as to still processing means you’ll get a letter and being processed means you’ll get a ddd soon. We’re all trying to play WMR detective. 😂

Mine is showing this, but I have the 846 code refund issued 2/22 on my transcripts this morning. Check you transcripts. If you can’t get them online, you can have them faxed to you.

I also got the generic message after PATH dropped off, and I have a letter coming today from the IRS. No tax topic 152, although my amount is still there. (I have the USPS Informed mail app.) 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Check your account transcript. At the bottom look for code 846…. mine says the same “we have received your return and it’s still being processed…”

My account transcript updated with the 846 code (refund issued) with a date of 2/22… hope this helps!

@Rey That happened to me overnight as well!! I always thought it was a generic processing message but I’m kinda getting concerned.

My tax return went from accepted with tax topic 152, then it went to refund accepted with the path act and tax topic 152 and now today 2/26/18 it just says your refund has been accepted and is still being processed with no dd date or tax topic not even a message about the path act any one else this happen to help

@Jameeme18 Okay I’ll try to break it down as simple as I can. So the msg your referring to as far as in “We received your tax return and it is processing DDD will be made when available” basically is saying your RETURN has been but back in que to process because at the time last year they had so many issues w/there systems crashing so it caused delays in processing RETURNS. Now the msg of “We have received your tax RETURN and it is being processed” is simply saying We have your RETURN and their finalizing it on processing RATHER or NOT you don’t see bars/TT 152 it’s pretty common w/ALOT of ppl that just UPDATED to that msg tonite. Weekly accounts can check Saturday morning

The generic still processing your return message was an ID verify for me last year. Filed 1/23 got refund mid March.

Yes, it seems to go back and forth. 1 bar one day and tax topic, then no bar, no tax topic but refund amount still there?

Ok my bar and tax topic disappeared Saturday. I called this morning and the IRS rep asked if I had the EIC or dependents and I said yes. She said she could not look up my information because it would only processing not that anything is wrong. She said if you have those credits the irs will not be releasing those funds until after Feb 15 and to check back then if no progress. So don’t panic for those who are in the same situation as I am. We just have to be patient

My bar and refund amount disappeared Tuesday but instill have tax topic 152. I’m hoping it’s just because I have EIC and CTC and everything will update after the 15th. All I know is I really want my money, I’m finally buying a car this year and with 2 kids, school full time, and work I think I deserve it!

My bar and tax topic 152 went away as well. My refund amount is still there, however.

My WMR states: Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.
