Based upon the experiences of February filers, should April filers assume 8-10 weeks for processing where they claimed RRC or some other credit that involves manual review? I am wondering if the refund process may begin to speed up this month as the IRS finishes up the last remaining stimulus payments and can shift more staff to refunds.

I hope it speeds up, but I’m not anticipating it. We filed and accepted 4/4. Transcript still says n/a and the as of date is all that’s changed. Our address hasn’t updated yet either.

I agree with you. I filed 2/25 and my scheduled refund deposit is next week. Eleven weeks from filing.
The IRS will start sending refunds for those that filed and paid taxes on unemployment in May. They are also gearing up for the child credit monthly advance allotments for June of this year.

I filed 4/12 and as of my 21 days i have been stuck in the ‘still processing’ phase. I am thinking as opposed to speeding up, it may get slower.
