Approved but still taken?

The IRS check my refund app tells me I should get my refund in my bank between tomorrow the 3rd, and the 8th. My State got taken because I owed I guess.

My question is if the IRS tells me it’s approved, tells me the amount, and gives me an exact time period to receive it, can and do they still sometimes take it away? or can I assume I’ll get it between tomorrow and the 8th?

As pp said, check offset line. If they are taking anything it will tell you

This is my personal experience, but they can still take it. You should call the offset line, 800-304-3107. I would check both options as far as debts, consumer and non-consumer. Hope this helps.
