I got tax topic 152 last year, and also got it this year. I was stunned! 2 years in a row. While you might read all types of answers on this, basically your return has been pulled and is under manual review. This could be because of the percentage of itemized deductions you took as compared to your income, mine was due to charitable contributions last year. I had to provide support of those contributions, It then took 2 months to process my return. I NEVER received a letter. I called IRS after my WMR kept saying TT 152 and my bars had disappeared. I’m wondering how many years it would’ve taken the IRS to contact ME, had I not been aggressive enough to contact them. Anyway, I took no charitable contributions this year, and still my bars disappeared and went to TT 152 yesterday. I’m depressed about this, as I had expected a quick refund, now I know I am looking at a minimum of 8 more weeks (based on last year).

same. still waiting. F/A 2/5. Got same still processing message, no bars on WMR on 2/23. Called on day 21 and was told I was under review which I think they’re telling everyone who calls that b/c it seems like EVERYONE who’s over 21 days here is either EITC/ACTC and is being told their under review

Yes. Tomorrow will be one month since filed/accepted.
As of this morning transcripts still say N/A and “no record of return filed” (no cycle dates, no process dates, nothing at all) and have the “still processing” TT 152 with no bars.
I want to call tomorrow, but am afraid to stir up the hornet’s nest! Have had no take action or other codes and no letters either.

No updates for me either. Filed & accepted 2/9, lost my bars 2/16, filed Married but can only check under Single. A glitch?!? Haven’t received any letter to date. Reading from other comments, some people are getting their DDD almost after 1 month of filing 😓

Yep. Filed 2/1 accepted 2/2 bars disappeared 2/15 tax topic 152. I filed no credits of any kind I just overpaid my taxes by over $5k. I called a tax advocate after 25 days and they said my return was selected for review that could take 45 days just to verify my withholding. No letter. No other information. I’m so beyond frustrated I could scream but I’m hopeful because some people on here have said their review only took two weeks. Fingers crossed I need MY money back.

I filed/accepted 2/5. Bars disappeared with “We can’t not provide any information..” message a few days later. Tax topic 152 showed up along with a 9001 message. On 3/1, I finally received a letter to ID Verify dated 2/25. It’s interesting because my transcripts never updated and Account Transcript said “as of 02/25/2019” for weeks. Maybe those that are getting ID verified will have a date in their Account Transcript that signifies when the ID letter will be mailed?

I e-filed mine on 2/8 and my status bar disappear approximately 1 week after. I called the irs yesterday because this never happened before and was told that I was randomly selected for a review. It can take up to 45 additional days from the day they mail a notice out. The lady also told me that this seems to happen a lot this filing season and so far they do not need any additional information from me. This is insane I have not filed anything different or unusual. I claimed what I always claim which are my W2 and my two kids. I hope I get mine soon

I filed in January 26th accepted the 28th. Same thing happened to me. I got my Id verify on 2/19. I called and was verified on 2/20. My status bar finally updated on 2/23. I now have a direct deposit date of 2/27. Just thought I share my experience to give hope.

I lost my bars one year and had to verify ID, and took 2 months to get my refund, last year I lost bars because I got resequenced. And I still got my refund within the 21 day time frame. Impossible to make any guess as to what they are doing. This year I filed on the same day as I filed my sons, they got their refund last week and I’m still sitting on one bar.

My bars disappeared yesterday. TT 152, I called and it told me the same thing. Transcripts say NA. I was accepted 1/28. No idea what is going on. I’ve never waited this long before.
