I am starting to panic a little bit since everyone here seemed to update except for me…I was accepted on 1/17 still one bar. I forgot to include a W2 from a job I worked not long early last year, so I’m worried I will get an audit. I only made like $6000 this year and my refund is only 389 so I’m hoping they let it slide, but something tells me they aren’t going to. Has anyone else been in this boat?

I just checked and I guess my losing W2 is a lot more than what I thought it was going to be, yikes. 4k, from the beginning of 2016. I was hospitalized for 3 months after that job so don’t remember too much of it lol. It would have only increased my refund, however. I still wouldnt owe anything eh.

I forgot to include a w2 last year and it did not delay my refund. The biggest things that IRS is concerned about are people trying to file with invalid or stolen SSN, people claiming kids that don’t belong to them, people trying to get huge deductions like say you made $10,000 but are trying to claim taxable donations of $29,000 or some other stuff ECT. I wouldn’t worry to much. If the w2 is less than a certain amount then it’s not a big deal. I think it has to be like less than $400 or so but you can call the IRS to double check or go to the IRS website.
