      I’m curious, I had a tax advocate assigned to me today due to our taxes arw in the 6-8 week need additional information queue. I have spoke with several Irs reps and none of them can give me a specific reason as to why it was slowed down or refund this year. We filed on
      1/21 and were accepted the same day. They think its because there is a hyphen in my last name and its raising red flags. But we were assigned a tax advocate for hardship. Has anyone had a tax advocate assigned and it actually sped up the process and got them their refund quicker. Any info will help.

          My TA contacted me yesterday. I submitted the paperwork this morning. I did not receive confirmation that is was received or submitted to IRS as yet.
          I will see tomorrow.

            Can your keep me updated on the status. So far no one has contacted me about my case and I’m just curious as to how long this process will take! Thanks for the info!!!

              I was assigned a TA on Wednesday of last week. I faxed all the info and got confirmation on Thursday that my paperwork was sent to the IRS to expedite return. If I have no updates I am allowed to call the TA back on February 26th. I filed 1/20/2015 and accepted the same day. I lost bars on 1/31/2015 and WMR has not changed since.
