Anyone else told by IRS refund will be under review?

Does anyone know what this actually really means? And should we just not expect a refund until further notice? I filled 1/29 and was accepted the same day. I called IRS yesterday to check my status and they said a letter was mailed to me 1/20 explaining I am under review and that If I didn’t receive a refund by 4/20 to call them back.
The representative also explained there were no mistakes and the letter states there is no further action needed. Please I need help understanding what’s going…. I’m getting worried I’ll have to wait until April to receive another letter.

That’s crazy we’re all getting different messages. Well I had no mistakes they said it was just randomly selected for a review so I guess I’ll take your advice and see what happens after 1st week or March. I also heard that even if you have filed before 2/15 your actual processing date doesn’t the 21’day count until 2/15 so if you count the days you will end up with a March date.

I had the same probs with obtaining my transcripts. My cell phone number couldn’t be verified, so after three tries the screen let me make a username/password. It says that I will get a letter mailed from them with special log in information within 5-10 days. I’m pretty sure you can request your transcripts by mail as well, but it takes much longer.

I’m not exactly sure how to view my transcripts I have tried to make an account but my phone will not allow me to do so, I guess because I’m on an apple? Is there any other way I can receive them.

We are under review also, only we didn’t get a letter. The irs rep told us to wait until March 9th, if we don’t get the ddd or a notification from them, to call that Friday.
