Anyone been resequenced?

I just spoke to rep who at first told me my taxes were delayed until May because I owed. I informed her I did not owe, she went to check again and came back with I was looking at someone else’s info. WTH??

Then she tells me I was resequenced and should know something in 2 weeks
Does it honestly take that long? Anyone else been resequenced?

Does this mean my 21 days will start over?

The system only processes so many a day so if the cut off is before the computer gets to you then you get resequenced to another day. Not necessarily the next day though… I filed 2/13 finally got resequenced to 3/23 and could view my transcripts as of 3/24. They previously said I hadn’t filed yet. Now just waiting on my 570 hold to lift so I can get a DDD.

I filed electronically on 2/24/18. Still no refund. I called on 3/20/18 and was told they received my return on 2/24 but did not ACCEPT it until 3/13 because it had been resequenced twice. My 21 days now starts from the 3/13 date they accepted it. No one could explain what resequencing is. I think it means my return was overlooked more than once, or the agent supposed to handle it has been out on vacation! Thoroughly disgusted as we have a family vacation planned and leave on 4/8. I know I won’t have the return by then. Thanks, IRS. Wonder if I can penalize YOU for a late payment to ME?

I was just told this exact same thing… And it really doesn’t make any sense to me. I filed on 1/26 and was accepted 20 minutes later. But I was never approved. All of my bars disappeared when I try to track it a few weeks ago. At this point I’m over 21 days since I filed. I called on Monday to see what was going on and why I couldn’t see my bars still and why it wasn’t approved, and they told me that it was lost in processing, yet I e-filed so that makes no sense either. He also asked if I received a letter in the mail, and I told him I did not but I will check at the end of this week again. So I just called back today to see what was going on, and to tell them I did not receive a letter in the mail and she tells me it was resequenced and will be delayed 2 weeks before I receive anything

I was told the same thing….accepted on 1/29; called on 2/20 and was told I was resequenced . She told me to call back next week. Ugh!!
