anybody verify id and recieved ddd within a week or 2?

a week after my return was accepted by the irs my bars went missing. i call my self went online a week later verifying my id and i passed. it gave me the 6 to 8 weeks bs. i only did it because after my bars went missing i saw on forums that it could possibly mean you were under review and flagged for id theft. my 21 days wasnt even up yet when i verified, allowing me to proceed i figured that was the reason. for the next 2 weeks nothing changed, i was seeing how people verified and got ddd within a week after. i was like wt$, no way in hell my return should be still processing after seeing more then a dozen people get ddd a week later after verifying. i knew something wasnt right, so i called the irs, told them the situation and after looking me up they said the review case was still active. they said no should it have still been open after 2 weeks of verifying. once i mentioned that i verified online they said that was why. they said if you try and verify online before 21 days is up then it wont go through properly. all i could do was shake my head and call the protection line. they verified me and told me they were closing the case and i should be back in rotation. so what i want to know is their anyone who verified and got a ddd within a week or 2?

I was told 9 weeks but to call after 4 weeks, but it only took 9 days to order my return transcript and 10 days for WMR to update with 2 bars saying “approved”

When I verified ID they mostly asked question that would be on my credit report. NOT what is on my tax return.

They are asking personal information birthdate address where you were born and tax information from this year and last year

@tee yeah i created this post and forgot to update. i woke up this morning and got my ddd of 2/24 as well. so the 9 weeks bs was something they are trained to tell us

I filed 1/20 with TT and I was told through TT I was accosted 1/20 as well. Fast forward three weeks I lost my bars but I still had Topic 152. I called ID verify because I figured it was past my 21 days but come to find out I wasn’t accepted until 1/22. The agent that helped me was very nice and told me I had a hold on my account and that I was going to have to verify my ID. I answered a couple of questions and I was told I would have it within 9 weeks. Earlier tonight I tried to order my return transcript and it went through. About 10 mins ago I checked WMR and I have a DDD of 2/24. Finally my money is on its way.
Oh and I verified my ID on 2/10. Just a couple days shy of my 21 days.
Good luck to those waiting. I was dreading that nine week wait but it’s finally here.

I have yet to receive a ddd date. I to verified before my 21 days. I called the IRS yesterday and they said everything looked fine. I’m not sure to what extent everything looks fine/good goes.

I saw your post and thought well, maybe I should reverify. Too, the IRS said to just be safe and call the Tax Payer no to see if I needed to. If everything looked good then why would I need to call them? Shows he wasn’t sure what he told me.

I finally got through this morning. I wasn’t asked any random questions other than my name address dob refund amount and ssn. The lady put me on hold for a bit 7-8 minutes. She came back and said no you do t need to reverify. Your return has been released and per the incline of 6 weeks you were given from when you verified online is when you should expect your refund or, if there’s a issue, a letter. I was thinking really? After verifying, being thrown off almost three weeks that’s a possibility? Anyway, I’m hoping everything goes well, no “issues/problems@ and I get a refund or ddd date soon. I originally verified on 02/08.

I verified since 2/4 and still haven’t heard or seen anything. I was told no letters have been sent and I need to wait 60 days. Idk wassup. I need my money now

Yes…verified Feb 9th got ddd Saturday Feb 13th for tomorrow the 18th…still waiting. I have pnc tho so usually it doesn’t deposit till the actual day.
