I filed and was accepted 1/30

I am claiming EITC and ACTC(?)
I was at one bar since filing up until last night.
First it said my return was still being processed at around 1am. Then the site went down again and it changed to Take Action Ref code 1541.
This is my first year claiming either credits.

I got an update yesterday as to why there is a delay and it’s because one of my jobs failed to report my earnings. I got in contact with that companies payroll department today and they said it should all be fixed by tomorrow (today), If not to call them back Friday.

@Spre. Gotta love how fake that news is appearing as the days roll by. What can I say? When you’ve lived it, you know it inside and out. Those of us that had those unfortunate experiences have read everybody else’s experiences. We know when everyone will get their direct deposits. But if you have the ability to live in a it’s all gonna be alright fantasy world, you are blessed.

Many, many years ago, my husband and i were super impatient to file taxes. He was a contractor. I called the IRS and told them he never got a 1099. They said go ahead and file based on last years info and submit a form for missing 1099. Yeah, we had to prove our babies were our babies that year. That guy still owes my husband about $6000 and he ran away to Florida instead of filing taxes. We eventually got our refund in late June. The lesson here, well take it however you want. Maybe don’t file without an actual w2. I strive to never work for deadbeats but sometimes it’s a choice between hoping to get paid and knowing you’re going to starve. If the IRS can’t match your w2 or 1099 income to what is reported by them and you, your return cannot be processed. Never file based on your last paystub. Weird stuff happens when paystubs turn into w2s. If the IRS never got the w2 or 1099 from the payer, its income fraud until proven otherwise.

Filed 1/28 accepted 1/29 I have path credits. Was at 1 bar til Saturday then updated the take action 1541. Can’t see my trans online. File the same every year 2 kids head of household. The only thing I can think of that I would get this message after reading everyone else is that my last employer didn’t report all of my wages. I even had to fight to get my last paycheck from him and didn’t get it all. I knew I should have report him for tax evasion. My last 3 checks from him he didn’t run them through the payroll system because he couldn’t pay his taxes. I have my paycheck stubs showing I made $2400 more than what he has me making. The pay stubs say non 1099 as well. I did the right thing and reported all of my income and now being punished for it. Ugh. Tuesday I will be calling and if I have to throw him under the bus I will.

I updated from 1541 to ddd tonight. My wages were not matching. I believe they are waiting for the w2 to process or upload on thier end. Thats the only thing I noticed on mine

1541 is just a generic delay message. dont Listen to these doomsday theorists, you only must worry if you receive a letter from the IRS

Anxious guy and sara, Stop spreading fake news.

This happened to me last year. It was hell. You will need to verify your dependents residency for the 2018 year with either school transcripts, doctor’s records etc. They may also require proof that your are the parent or guardian of the child and have been for more than 6 months out of the year. This could be lengthy process so you might want to speak with a tax payer advocate for assistance. They can speed the process up tremendously. Best of luck to you

You should get a letter in the mail eventually. Did you just have a baby or did you claim someone that has been claimed by someone in the past? Most people don’t get questioned and that surprises me, but every once in a while they will ask you to prove you are eligible to claim the person. Be prepared for that, but it could honestly be anything else. A transposed number somewhere or something you forgot to add to your return. Try not to stress and eventually you will get your refund.
