      The VA offset my taxes for school. Long story short. I was supposedly overpaid even though I went to school and paid the school the money. I forgot about the debt. How long will it take for a hardship to go thru? I really need that money at the moment.

          I did my hardship through the VA. Call tomorrow and talk to someone they will have you fax something 9 of 10 they will refund you the amount minus your payment.
