Curious to see if anyone who had unemployment got their refund yet and if it was increased due to the new tax act. Post here if you got it and how much it was increased by/if it stayed the same.

I got mine last week but it had my pre cares act refund amount. There was nothing added to it for the unemployment. I’d read an article yesterday saying they’d begin sending them out in May. Take that for what it’s worth. I just Google when will the IRS SE d refund for people who filed early with unemployment. Most articles seem to say early May.

Filed 02/20 accepted same day, still processing since first week in March w no bars. I paid taxes on my unemployment so curious if my refund will be adjusted or if they’ll just send the difference later. No letter, no codes on wmr…… Btw, received state, first week in March and received 3rd stimulus 03/17/21.

@macyrose. Ya I was very shocked bcuz last year I filed around my bday 2/18 and it took till april to receive.
I hope your refund comes ASAP I know how hard it is too wait in the dark

Filed 2/24. Unemployment. Received return on 3/10 with no adjustment.
They say they’re in process of implementing the adjustments and will reissue the diff to people as a separate refund or credit.
Who knows with the irs

filed/accepted 2/16.. i lost my tt and bars on 3/6 and im on still processing. I had unemployment, my transcipts are still n/a…

Still waiting.
Filed on 3/7, and lost bars on 3/21. I checked my transcripts yesterday, and still haven’t seen anything posted for the return for the 2020 tax season. I’m not worried though. No errors other than my adding my unemployment and filing before the passing of the new bill. No offsets either.
