Any PATHers have 846 on their transcripts?

Curious to see if anyone does yet? I just got mine this morning (updated account transcripts) with my refund amount showing as a negative on my account balance line, cycle code 20190702 which means I’m a daily, and codes 150, 806 and 766 but no 846 code yet. Just curious if this is all of us PATH filers or if this happens and we have to wait for a second transcript update?

The IRS expects PATH Act refunds to be received by 3/4. Check irs.gov/refunds for the most up to date info. Reply STOP to OptOut

Yes I got 846 on transcript for 2/22. I am a daily with cycle code 20190504. My WMR says still processing but they added the 846 code overnight. I filef 1/25, accepted 1/28. I am a Pather.

I checked the app this morning to see if I had any movement. Finally got the PATH message yesterday and today it just said your return was received. Well I have access to my transcripts online so I decided to check it just in case. Transcripts have the 846 Code with a DDD of 02/22/3019. Have hope friends. We are at the end of the wait.

I’m not giving up hope that we may still see our WMR update tomorrow with our DDD’s…

I’ve read that transcripts *can* theoretically update anytime any day, but that definitely doesn’t seem to be the norm. Most people see them update on Tuesdays and Fridays. But just because we see the update on the transcript those days does not necessarily mean there wasn’t progress going on behind the scenes that just hasn’t been posted yet to our transcript.

The way my very-hopeful mind envisions it is that today, being the 15th, they all kicked into high-gear and are right now as we speak whizzing through the system, generating millions of 846’s even though we can’t see them on the form.

WMR does, however, show updates on Saturdays… so… well here’s hoping!

The first time I checked my transcripts was 2/6 and everything was there except the 846. I’m very surprised it didn’t come through today. Is the government shutdown having an effect on returns? I’m assuming Presidents day will have an effect as well, which sucks since thats my processing date.

Nothing yet. Very disappointing. This is the first time (at least in the past 3 years) that my refund didn’t come at least 4 days before my processing date, which is 2/18 this year. However, the times vary. Last year it deposited at 6:57am on 2/22 EST 4 days before the processing date, the year before it posted at 6:15PM on 2/22, 4 days before the processing date, and the year before it deposited at 11:34PM on 2/9, 13 days before my processing date lol. My cycle date on all those ended in 0605, and this year its 0505, so im surprised it didn’t hit today despite being a PATHer. Hopefully it drops at some point today.

I noticed some transcripts that were just made available today had the 846 code but not everyone who already had available transcripts got updated this morning with the code. Mine became available on Tuesday this week and there was nothing posted/updated as of this morning.

I wonder if we will get a transcript update later today? Not sure what the probability is of getting one Tuesday since Monday is a holiday.

WMR updates more than once a day. The major update is around 3 AM (not sure what time zone) but not everyone’s accounts update at the same time. People have had their WMR update at different times than others on the same day.

@metalheart. I was thinking the same based on past patterns. The difference is The 15th falls on a Friday this year and the last 3 years it fell earlier In the week. So path won’t be lifted until after transcripts have already been processed for the week. That Friday date of the 15th may push things back a week this year. Which why they said the 27th this year and last year the notice the IRS put up said the 23rd I believe.

I hope that’s not the case but it could be.

Same! I’m wondering if that 2/27 date the IRS first mentioned wasn’t that far fetched. It will be interesting to see what happens this weekend and early next week.

With Monday being a holiday I’m not sure if transcripts will update Tuesday for dailies? I’d think it would be an automated process but who knows.

Might not see them poo up until next Friday transcripts updates for weeklies and the following week for dailies.

The pattern that seems to be developing is that the transcript updates with the 846 the day before WMR with the DDD. And the update is for processing that was completed the day before. Which means if we start processing on the 15th, the earliest we’d see an 846 would be on the 16th. This is what happened last year. But… the 16th this year is a Saturday. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone mention a transcript update on a Saturday. Or a WMR on a Sunday. And Monday is a holiday.

The earliest DDD’s with that pattern last year was 2/22. But with the days of the week being a day behind this year… I don’t know. I’m hopeful, but not optimistic.

That would be my theory as well but since none of this tax process seems to make sense I wanted to post to see if anyone did get it just with a future date but so far that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’m thinking Friday will be the first day any PATHers see 846 but maybe even that’s too early and it won’t be until next week. Anyway that’s why I made the thread so we could keep each other updated ☺️

I updated to pATH this morning on WMR but after taking a quick peek at my transcripts no 846 code available. Just wishful thinking ☺️

Not yet. Last year I got the 846 code on 1/16 and WMR updated on 1/17 with a ddd of 2/22 which was the same for a majority of the early path filers.

Wednesday or Thursday weeklies should update to the 846 codes. hopefully

I think that special 846 code will pop up Friday or next week depending on how the holiday adjusts processing times. I think that’s why the IRS said 2/27 for earliest deposits which is a Wednesday

And then wmr updated Saturday mornin with ddd of 2/27. I’m a weekly so that’s how it goes for weeklies from some of the articles I read.

This year there saying mid feb. so I’m assuming will have movement Friday morning and Saturday morning

Not yet. I think 846 will show after the path mid-feb (14 or 15) timeline. I thought mine had 846 last night but was looking at the wrong year. I accidentally click 2017 transcript. I was excited thinking the wait was over, lol.
