It’s a matter of when they correct it, Bc it goes to the error dept. and then after they correct it it take up to 8 weeks to send it out.

I got the delayed message on the 14th. I know I fouled mine up. I forgot to include the advanced CTC from June to Dec. I never received these so called letters they were suppose to send so I missed it and misinterpreted the ACTC as the Additional Child Tax Credit (versus the Advanced) so I just left it blank. When I saw the refund amount, it raised flags for me but I clicked efile only to realize the following day (after researching) I screwed the pooch.

If I was you I would call the tax advocate (877) 777-4778 just to make sure Bc everyone I seen with the message went to error dept and some was refunded quick but the guy just told me it can take up to 8 weeks not a definite 8 weeks you know.

@neek
I filed and and got accepted on the same exact dates as you and saw the same message on the 6th as you did. Please don’t say it will take 8 weeks from the 6th I need my new furniture and car like last week! -

So in EITC/ACTC watch party room @Neek says he called a couple hours ago and on WMR it’s said his tax return has been delayed. We he called the IRS told him it was an error on his tax return and was sent to an error department to be fixed and his refund could take up to 8 weeks to be sent. I’m NOT SAYING if you have the delayed message this is why, but it’s what he posted in that room a short time ago. Hope this helps if you have a delayed message right now..
