Any Answer to why Account Transcripts would show "No return Filed"

I have been looking everywhere for a direct answer to as why when I filed and got accepted on 1/28 why my irs account transcripts show “no return filed.” In the top portion it has all zeros and says as of Feb 18 2019″ Does anyone know what this means? in previous years I have been accepted right away and right away the wheres my refund app would show the PATH message, but this year its completely different for me which makes me worry something is not right. I know its a stretch to ask on here and get a clear answer but I am just stressing that something isn’t right. Any help is appreciated!

Same thing here. Filed 2/4. No PATH message. Account transcript says No Tax Return Filed.

The IRS can take up to 21 days to process a return once received.
With all that’s going on I’m not surprised it may take a few weeks to see your return being processed

Mine too says no return file. With a code 971.

I filed and was accepted on 1/31. I ordered 2 transcripts and received both in the mail while waiting. The most recent one dated 2/12 came in the mail exactly as you describe. And yet, now after being able to access online transcripts, mine is all updated and ready to go.

I honestly think it just means you haven’t been processed yet.

I filed and got accepted 02/04/2019 and my transcripts still show the “No return filed” please let me know if your’s updated?

I was little worried about the ID verify because I heard others say that is what they had to do. I just don’t understand why they would make me verify when every year my taxes have been given to me without having to verify. I guess that’s how it goes. I think I will be getting on the phone with the IRS today and get to the bottom of this!

When I try and get transcripts online it states that I am putting in the wrong information when trying to register for an account.

*this may not be your case* but I wanted to share my experience with that because it happened to me last year. I ended up having to ID verify. My transcripts didn’t update until after I completed verification. I waited about 2 weeks or so and past the PATH deadline before I called. That’s when I was told I have to verify my identity and wait for my letter. I had to call twice for a letter. Once I got it though it was a smooth process and I got my refund about 2 weeks after I verified my identity.

Mine says that too. Also lists all zeros for the wages and income portion. The top 2 sections are listed as N/A

thanks for the insight. It’s crazy because every year I say to myself next year I am not going to let myself be stressed over taxes and promise myself I wont check everyday and read all the forums, but every year I seem to do it, and I just stress myself out!

It just means that you’re transcripts have not been updated oh, because your return has not been processed. I filed and was accepted on January 15th, in my transcripts literally just updated last night. February 18th should be the day that your return is processed by. Best wishes.
