Ok so let me start this by saying I’m not a loser as I have seen many say to others over the years. I, like many others, are impatiently waiting for our return. However this month everything hit.
We were supposed to be moving so we found a home. Our move date was supposed to be late in the month so we were all set. However I got a call that we had been bumped to the 11th. Mind you we are in a hotel because we were waiting on our return. Our storage is getting sold on the 15th. So I stand to lose the house we found (plus the 1500 we put down that is non refundable if we change our mind) and my storage all over a few days.
The landlord informed us YESTERDAY it was ready and apparently won’t wait till the original date we were told. Storage won’t work with us.
Are there any companies that work with loans for hard credit? We don’t have horrible credit just don’t have any haha and the RAL we didn’t qualify for. We were told it was due to student loan debt.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I’m scared to death

Well I called or local department of health and human services. Of course they couldnt assist. I contacted 2 local VA charities and haven’t heard back and I’m trying a couple local churches we have been a part of over the years. I appreciate everyone’s feedback. It is very scary I am glad y’all understood. Thanks again for the advice.
Since we have EITC we don’t qualify for hardship. Apparently no matter what those funds will be held and we will get it about as early as we can according to the lady with IRS. I went so far as searching for a loan on craigslist. I got a response wanting double repayment. Ummm no.
I left a message for the landlord. The part that scares me besides losing the house is losing the 1500 we put down to secure it. This entire situation is breaking my heart.
Saying a prayer for us all. I hope 2018 is a good year for everyone.

Call the IRS and apply for a hardship status. They can expedite your return and refund $ within days if you qualify.

My friend was evicted this week same thing/.. Landlord refused to wait on refund as they were already 3 months behind. They tried churches and couldn’t come up with it all, landlord wanted everything up front.. Wish I knew that she could contact the IRS to get a hardship, now they are in hotel and probably wont be able to find another place with that eviction… I understand them holding, however folks that have filed the same kids over and over for 13 years this makes no sense to hold the funds every year and you have the same exact people on your taxes.

@Katie That was pretty much our situation last year. We would have been homeless without help. Reach out to every single church you can, and see if your local Department of Human Services offers emergency assistance. With the help of 4 churches and department of human services emergency assistance, we were able to secure our new place prior to our tax refund coming in.

Try credit karma it will give you suggestions for loan offers/companies. What about a church or local services.
Some states have one time rental assistance check out social services.
I hope everything works out for you ad your family.

Do you have a car, motorcycle, atv, camper, or any title? If so maybe try to take a loan against it for what you need. Do you have any retirement you can borrow against? Any friends or family that can help until you get your refund? Does your work offer payroll advances? If not, and you can show proof of hardship contact a tax advocate, thats about your only option if you cant borrow outright. Hope that helps. I have been there and know how stressful it is!

@Katie the RAL loans are usually based on credit also, if u guys did not qualify for the advance you most likely will be denied credit for any other type of loan especially for the amount you need.
Try telling your story on “Go Fund me” page and get charity there other than that all I can think of is moving in with family, friends or some type of shelter. Sorry you are going through such a rough time but it sounds like you really need your refund to stay a float. Hope you get it soon.

Maybe try a local credit union? You can also look for loans that prequalify so you don’t impact your credit .. I know bigger companies like Discover and Capital One allow you to see if you pre qualify prior to applying.
