Does anybody have any GOOD news? Like to help me with my anxiety? I always get my refund with 2 weeks. Last year 13 days after it was accepted my DD hit. My WMR bar disappeared last year too. I shit my pants on this forum. I was scared af. But my DD hit like 5 days after it disappeared. It came back and showed approved after a couple days. It was weird AF.

Part of it is they are also backed up by 5 million+ paper returns from last year still. If you google irs delays you will see multiple stories about it. Even the House ways and means committee has come down on them in the past few days telling them to basically hurry up. The delayed start plus the backlog of last year plus all the changes (stimulus and whatnot), I’m sure that is all having an effect on the speed of the process.

Last year I was a weekly. Got my refund on a Wednesday. WMR updated the Saturday before.

There is no reason to worry. The IRS did not officially begin accepting returns until the 12th. So they are two weeks behind schedule out of the gate. The WMR is not functioning correctly, at all, this year. I have had filers this year who received their refunds with the WMR never updating. At this point, if you do not receive a refund Friday, Wednesday 3-3 would be the next date. Most people will update this weekend with transcripts. I cannot say for the WMR though.

I’m in the same boat w same credits. I also went through the same situation as you last year and it was scary af. Was hoping for a less dramatic tax season this year, but it doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen. Hopefully we will see something Friday.

I can’t check my transcripts online unfortuantely i can’t pass the verification bullshit test. Even though im inputting the correct account number for my car loan it says it’s not valid or some shit.

I just check my bank and my refund is pending. Yay!

The only ones that are experiencing issues are the ones who filed early (before 2/12) and still haven’t seen movement with their transcripts. WMR is not working according to the IRS, so you have to rely on your transcripts.

Like for myself I always get my DD on Thursday (tomorrow) but my transcripts have not been updated at all.

Don’t worry just check your transcripts.

Me too. Never an issue before, always got my refund within two weeks. This year I’m worried because it’s different with covid, recovery rebates etc. But we’ll probably be fine, just like last year and the year before. And next year we’ll worry too.
