Amex/JH/Republic bank Countdown!

I think Most of us show that republic got our refunds from the IRS and that they were sent over to our prepaid cards…we are just waiting for the prepaid card (In my case serve card) to update with our refunds. Everything I have read shows that prepaid cards do not hold the funds when its sent to them they release it right way (First year using prepaid always had it going into my bank account before this)

It says right on the republic site

Prepaid Card Prepaid Card $xxx (I replaced amount with xx) Funds loaded to your Prepaid Card.

So what is going on with Amex and Serve cards where we are not seeing the deposits. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Wow!! I wonder what made mine so different. I have an Amex Serve filed with Tax Act paid $5 fees up front. DDD for 2/23 and my refund hit last night about 10:30pm. I hope y’all post soon. :)

@kristen republic just put my refund on card. I pray you get yours also!

@Kristen I know it’s a big contradiction. I also received a text at 9:35am from republic saying that my federal taxes was deposited into my account but when I called at noon that’s what the rep stated to me. So hopefully it’ll be there tomorrow and I hope you get yours as well. Keep the faith I know it’s frustrating!

Hello fellow JH Amex Serve group. I am in Florida and my paperwork went thru Santa Barbara (SBTPG) . That would be the reason why no info found on Republic site. Ddd 2/23 nothing yet. It might help to check the other site. Customer service 18555054829

that just contradicts everything yo see on their website. According to the site it says the fund were released from IRS (IRS always releases funds 3 to 4 days early from DDD because of bank time frames) And the website states it was received and fees taken out.

Well I spoke with a rep at republic bank and she stated that the irs hasn’t actually released the funds and if you have a ddd from the IRS of 2/22 the IRS won’t release the funds to republic bank until that date and then they will deposit it onto your account.

What makes me want to cry is what I just found on serves website

**It will take 24-48 hours for your funds to be available on Serve after your refund has been released by the IRS.**

Why hold it if Republic sent it over to you already. Give me my bleeping money!

I have ddd of 2/23 used taxAct paid fees w/ return still says no refund received on republic bank and nothing st Amex yet. Fingers crossed it’ll change today !
