Amended Returns

Since no one ever enters the amended section, figured I’d ask here.

I seen where all paper returns are stopped until further notice due to the virus. So does that mean all amended returns are halted as well?

I mailed my amended return in on February 16 and I still see no movement on my account or on the Wheres my amended return. When I called because it prompted me to call the lady said well we don’t have to update the site to match but you do have to wait the 16 weeks before we can tell you anything about what is taking place with your amended return.

I mailed my return March 18 and I have yet to see it update in the system so ? Who knows?

I’m assuming so. I mailed mine and have proof of delivery on 4/6. I wouldn’t expect it to show up in their system yet either way, I think its possible if yours was recieved earlier and had been input into their system before they halted processing paper returns it may continue to be processed as normal but I don’t have much hope that mine got that far.
