      For the last 3 years I have calmed my son and never had a problem. I was able to finalize my step parent adoption and changed his last name. Does anyone know if this will effect my refund. If his names don’t match with social security?

          Would they bounce it back if it wasn’t changed?

            You need to change his name with the social security office before filing.
