Account Transcript updated today with 570 & 971 Code

I filed 01/27, and was accepted 01/27

So my blank 2019 transcript updated this morning and now shows

570 Additional account action pending 02/24/2020

971 Notice sent 02/24/2020

Account balance at the top matches the amount on my return

Obviously there sending me a letter. Has me absolutely nervous for the worse.Anyone have any other further info on these codes? Thank you

Yes but the letter I received was about me opening an online IRS account only. Just wondering if that letter would trigger the 971 code by itself. Other than that no changes. Mt account balance on the account transcript matches what was on my return. 3/4 of my transcripts are showing, the only one that says “no return received” is my wage transcript. Although the SSA shows my correct income for the year. So I have no idea

@Bob did you receive your letter? I’m still on 570 and 971. I called the offset # and doesn’t say I owe anything. My TaxAct refund amount and IRS are different. Don’t know what my next step is. I’m assuming a letter.

So the letter I received today from the IRS was only about me making an online account in order to view my transcripts. Great here goes many steepness nights wondering whats going on.

I checked all me transcripts again and now 3 of the 4 for 2019 are showing. The income one is the only one not showing. The account record and other transcripts all show me as having an account balance of -$XXXX which exactly matches what was on may tax return. Only thing I can think of, is I did buy a small amount of cryptocurrency this year, then sold it for a loss. Did it on the Robinhood app, a few transaction with no profit. Other than that, have no idea what it could be

I was accepted 1/21/20 and transcript updated this morning. I received same codes 971 and 570. Refund amounts on TAXACT and transcript are different. Not sure if that’s why I received those codes. I have the same date 2/24/20.

I have a 570 code with 2/24 processing date that all

570 is pretty much stating your refund is on hold until further processing

971 just states a letter will be mailed on that date. Doesn’t really say what the letter is, you have to wait for it to come in. Usually it’s an ID verify.

570 means they are holding your refund for further processing, 971 means your getting a letter mailed. Mostly for ID verify.

Last year I got the 971 and I had to ID verify as well as have my employer resubmit to SSA. They were showing my wage info never recieved and that held up my refund

So I just received my daily informed delivery email from USPS since I recently moved and have a forward on our mail. And there is a letter from the IRS to be delivered today. Wow that was fast, but has me nervous as hell for the worse. I’ll update this thread once I receive the letter and open it.
