I wanted to give all of you hope…because before today I had none. I like alot of people caught in this madness was accepted by the irs 01/19/2016. Everything was fine until i decided to call 1/26 and find out the progress of my tax return. They told me that they sent out a letter 1/25 about healthcare info that was missing but they gave me all the info i needed to fax it in. Not knowing i was also supposed to send my page 2 of my return i only sent them 8962 form and 1095a form. time went on and i called 2/12 to check my status after being able to order my retun transcripts…i knew that meant something good. they were not any help and when i woke up 2/13 with no change til 2/29 and no refund til 3/11 i was devestated. i was told by the advocate line and my TAX ADVOCATE not to expect a change because a system hold was on my refund though it was processed. I went out on a limb and called this morning and the rep said “why are you calling, you have a ddd of 2/24” ITS OVER !i am free. & all of you will be too regardless of what tax problem you are having.

So today, a month after acceptance 1/19 (happy anniversary) I was finally able to order my return transcript with my new address! Hoping this means a DDD is on the horizon! Anyone else able to do so as well this morning?

When I called the IRS on 2/10 I spoke with a nice lady who told me to allow 1-2 weeks additional processing time and if nothing has happened to call back. This may have been a cookie-cutter response and I may be naive at this point for listening to her but I’m doing my best to refrain from calling them until then. I have since still tried to order my return transcripts every day with my new address to no avail. I am really hoping for a DDD within a week or I will be calling again which I would rather not have to do. How did you receive the tax advocate form and where do you fax it to just in case I need to do the same? Anyway best of luck and here’s to hoping we all get good news soon!!!

So Filed 1/14 Accepted 1/19 Working with Tax Advocate for 10 days now Had to send W2s for Income Verification BTW W2s from ADP, one of largest PAYROLL PROCESSING companies in world and TOTALLY ELECTRONIC & one W2 from the GOVERNMENT ITSELF so I am pretty sure the idiots had them….
I know why the money is being delayed but here are my thoughts/questions:
1. Identity Theft-WHERE ARE THE MILLIONS of people defrauded by IRS BREACH? I see all the IRS BS but I can’t find ONE PISSED OFF CITIZEN who was breached….
2. I have called and contacted Congressmen & yesterday posted to Jason Chaffetz Facebook site (He is leading the Impeachment of IRS commissioner Koskinen Committee…
But WHY ISN’T ANYONE screaming about the LIES & DISREGARD this entity of the GOVERNMENT is complicit to exercise?Just asking

Yes!! I am in the same freaking boat. Accepted 1/19. Have checked WMR every single day and then on Saturday Feb 5th my freaking bars disappeared and it’s saying your refund is processing a refund date will be provided when available. Wtf mate? So I called the IRS and they were like hey we are putting in a referral it will take 6-8 weeks. Wait what? Okay so I call back the next day and the person is like yeah whoever filed the referral did it incorrectly so you need to touch base with tax advocate. So I filled out a 911 form requesting assitance from TA, faxed it over, a TA called me 2/10 and said she will contact IRS on my behalf, inquire about status, but that basically the IRS needs to verify my identity, wages, incomes, wtfever, so whatever dude I faxed over all the paperwork she requested. Literally faxed it over while on the phone with her, she got the fax, said once she contacted IRS that it would take a week for IRS to get back to her. Generally she said it will take 6-8 weeks to process and recieve my refund. So messed up. Have you gotten yours? So I have her direct phone # and I’ve called her 3 times today lol psycho, I know. She’s dodging my calls but I dont blame her bc she specifically said she would touch base with me as soon as she heard something. Whats going on with yours? Thanks!

@HY
When I called them last week they told me they just needed an additional 1-2 weeks for processing and to call after that if I still hadn’t gotten a DDD. Not sure if it’s a stall tactic with the mention of receiving letters and such. What I do know is that it’s been such an incredibly frustrating experience that I’m trying to just go on with life until something happens. I mean they can’t just not give us our tax refunds, right? I am definitely never filing early again as I’m sure are you and everyone else that got f*cked over this year. Here’s to hoping we get SOMETHING this week. Tomorrow will be a month since I filed.

Did anyone else receive any updates over the weekend? Ours still says “Your return is being processed” TT152. (efiled and accepted 1/19). Nothing changed over the weekend. Our calls to the IRS end up with the person telling us that something in our return is being reviewed and we should receive a letter within 30 days. They can’t find a letter on file at this time though. I have no idea if this is a stall tactic or if we really will be getting a letter. Wouldn’t our TT change if we were getting one? Anyone have any insight on that? Thanks!

I filed on 1/19, bars left on 2/5. Tax topic 152 remained along with refund amount and YOUR REFUND IS BEING PROCESSED A DATE WILL BE PROVIDED WHEN AVAILABLE.
I called Irs on Tuesday and was told that my return wasn’t received until 1/21, and that i should see a change by Thursday.
So yesterday, i checked WMR and still got the same no bars…etc…
Today 2/11, I checked Wmr it was still saying the same thing.
Today around 11am I was finally able order my return transcript.
***At 1:30 I received a text alert of a deposit load to my Rush card.
It was my refund.
I had my refund split between my bank account and my rushcard. I have yet to receive the other half that is going to my bank account.
I should probably receive that on Tuesday or Wednesday as banks are closed on Monday for the Holiday.
Everyone please be patient, my refund took 25 days by my filing date. But 22 days by Irs received date.
It’s very hard when you have bills overdue and need some type of relief, I too, was there.
There is a lot of useful information on this site, I’ve been following for years, but this is my first time posting.
Everyone situation is different but this was my experience, it also helps to know if you are a weekly or daily processor. I personally have been a weekly for a few years, and never expect my refund before the 21 day time frame.It’s coming…Happy Tax Season

I’m still having trouble getting mine with my new address…such a bummer.

Called 2/10 said no holds or letters going out just needed an extra two weeks.

Accepted 1/21/16
Lost bars 2/9/16
21 days 2/11/16
Account Transcript – 1/30/16
Return Transcript – N/A
Refund amount – $4k+
Tax topic and Tax Information still showingI called the IRS twice today just to attempt to see if the first call and the second call had any difference and they didn’t. Both ladies told me that my return has no red flags and did not need to ID Verify. Both told me to give it another week, as it is still being processed, before calling again. The second lady knew I called earlier, so it must be indicated somewhere.

@employee1138 I was able to order my return transcript for this year with my new address a week ago. It wasn’t letting me before then. But I still don’t have bars on my WMR page, and calling they just tell me to wait a couple of weeks :(

@HY
Thank Goodness! Makes me feel better that you don’t have education credits! Less of a chance she was right about having to compare my 1098-T with the schools… I don’t so much care about them checking it out… but I don’t want to wait until May! -
February 12, 2016 at 2:55 pm #4138815HY
@Kathy
No – I don’t have any educational credits. I wish they could give us more information. If my refund is just delayed due to high volume, I also wish they would just admit that. Waiting 30 days for a letter to come in the mail is just ridiculous. I surely hope that is not what this is going to come to. :( -
February 12, 2016 at 2:43 pm #4138812
I am in the exact same boat! I filed on 1/19, and was accepted the same day. Last Friday I was able to order my account transcripts with my new address finally. I called on the 10th, and they told me that there was a code on my return that indicated they couldn’t pay it because of its size. I do have EIC and education credits, but it is not that huge. She told me to wait 1 or 2 weeks because there was no offset, and other tax topic / code on my return. I called again yesterday. The new person asked me if I had education credits. I told her yes, and she said that they are holding most of those because of people scamming. I sent my 1098-T, and it was the same school I attended last year, so I don’t think that would warrant a flag. She told me they could hold it until May and then ask for the paperwork to compare with the schools. She also said that it could be nothing but a delay and if nothing shows up in 2 weeks to call again.
Do you all have education credits? I think she just picked something out on my return that ‘could’ be an issue that has come up but she doesn’t know for sure. I surely don’t want to be waiting around until May to get them back…

Filed and accepted 1/19. Bars disappeared 2/6. 21 days up 2/9. I just got off the phone with the IRS. This time they told me that our refund is being held and that a letter will be going out to me, but that she cannot tell what the letter will say or which code they will send me. She said I should receive a letter within 30 days. WTF!?!? She claims she can’t see any information other than that.

That’s awesome man, happy to hear! Did you order via the website or over the phone?
I am having trouble using my new address to get a transcript and I’m thinking becuase I have an Apt # at the end. Not sure if I need to omit it or not. Anyway, thanks for the update, keep us posted if you get a DDD tomorrow!

Filed and accepted on the 20th. Bars went missing last Sunday but still have the tt152 showing with all my information still up on the left side. Was able to order my account transcript about two weeks ago but still want order my return. I finally gave in since its like day 23 and called the irs to see what’s up with my return. Called 800 829 0582 and ext 652. Prior to doing so I did try to verify my IIFonline thinking that was what the hold up was and it said that I couldn’t be verified after answering the first set of questions in the initial page. So back to the IRS phone call. Spoke to a nice woman. She gave me her name and ID number but I didn’t take it down. So after about 5 min of her looking she came back and said i am delayed 2-3 weeks from today because I was randomly selected for review. I asked if any letters had been sent and she said as of right now there are no flags or letters sent out but to give it some time. She did mention that there is a back up with a lot of returns this year because of the identity theft that happened last year and their system crashing last week. So here is hoping I get something in three weeks.

Same boat as a lot of you. Filed & accepted 1/19. 1 bar on WMR until 2/6 when it changed to “still processing” message and TT152. 21 days was up 2/9. Have talked to IRS twice – different answer each time. Saying that no letters are in our account to go out. Still processing and reviewing our information. Wish I could get some more definite answers. How do we know if we are on a weekly cycle vs daily?

@impatiently waiting
Call (800) 829-0582 ext. 652
It’s anywhere from a 7 to 20 min wait time however.

I am 1/14 filed accept 1/19 & I have been given 4 reasons and time frames ALL DIFFERENT today I finally talked with the advocate ASSIGNED TO MY CASE now that I have called EVERY TEXAS CONGRESSMAN the MEDIA & EVERY # GOOGLE GAVE FOR IRS because I am old and TIRED OF BEING TREATED WITH AN INDIFFERENCE AND DISRESPECT THAT COMES WITH LYING WITH NO REMORSE ALMOST EASIER THAN TRUTH so here is the FACTUAL SCENARIO
I have to send my W2’s and verify my income BUT HERE IS THE RIDICULOUS OF THE WHOLE FAKE SYSTEM STALL…
I was laid off in March so I had 3 MONTHS (6) checkstubs BACKED WITH ADP ALREADY PROVIDED TO IRS & TEXAS UNEMPLOYMENT which is GOVT.
SO I suppose we go through motions of insanity and in a couple of months we will hear that the delay was tied to deficits and not imploding the newest multiTrillion $$$ budget release -
February 10, 2016 at 11:16 pm #4137499Tyty1040x
I also filed on the the 19th..supposedly apected the same day according to my tax efilie.com …Lost bars on 02/07 ..Call IRS today and a nice lady said my return wasn’t received until the 21 first Jan. myreturn is just processing ..she didn’t see nothing wrong at all with my return…so confuse this tax season..never experience this at all…

I just spoke w a very helpful rep who told me I was randomly selected for a review and it should only stall me 1 cycle (after my 21 days) but I didn’t fIle until the 29th. I’m curious if im actually being reviewed or if it’s just a way to explain the delays.
-
February 10, 2016 at 7:26 pm #4137382MinneSnowta
Filed 1/19 right before midnight accepted 1/20 few minutes later called IRS 3 week in was told I had a note that I was resequence and I would have 1 week delay called again today what I thought was my 21 days was told not until tomorrow anyhow guy looks into my account and basically said that I was delayed by 1 week and I should see a ddd or a letter or code by the 18 he assured me that lots have at least a weeks delay because of the resequencing so I know I am a weekly if what he said is true I expect to see an update this Friday and Saturday for a ddd of 2/17 which is the next ddd after the big weekend update good luck to all who still waiting may this weekend be the answer we been awaiting

@seekingrefund101
Glad to hear that I’m not the only one – Here’s to hoping we get an update this weekend! I am really counting on this money to get my car fixed, etc. It’s been miserable watching all these other people get their refunds when we filed so early.

Jon I am literally in the exact same boat. Filed 1/14 Accepted 1/19 Bars Missing 2/6 Called & they told me the same. But the reason she gave was that during the glitch last week we got pushed into a different processing cycle. :(
