      Hi,
I know that there are some of you that are in the same boat as I am. I am a bit confused as to why some have received a letter from the IRS when they just recently filed around the 23rd or so and I have not received any sort of letter. I however was able to order an account transcript I just received it and it was blank . my question is to those who were excepting on 1/18have any of you guys received a letter from the IRS?

I filed the 28th no credit just married jointly. Bars disappeared on 2/4. I’ve called & talked to multiple different people at the IRS. Heard anything from its no big deal to ID verification. Still no letter from the IRS. I’m wondering if I’m a weekly as my bars disappeared on a Saturday & I’ll get good news this Saturday. Any insight/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I filed on the 23rd and no letter for me. I know you are a week before me in filing, but not all of us 23rd filers got letters. I am hopeful as I see lots of people that were stuck in processing, never got a letter, never did anything on their part, and their bars came back. From what I am seeing, processing doesn’t necessarily mean anything other than its still processing. Could be i.d, could be a manual review, could just be stuck in a slow roll.

                  Kaitlin,

                  https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

You have 2 choices to get a transcript. You can request online which is a little more complicated to explain on here. Click the get transcript online then you goto a log on screen. If you havent done IRS online click the get started button. You will have to go thru steps to verify, and eventually you verify by the last 8 digits of your CC. Dont worry they dont charge you. Its just checks the info the card has like your name and ssn. But the other one is a paper form you print, fill it out, and follow the instructions thats on the form. Again, goto that link above that i posted, and it will say print/save or something FORM 4506.
Here is a link where it can help you fill out the mail in form.
Go here https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof-tra/start.do to get started with the mail in.

Same boat. Accepted 1/18, no bars, refund amount still shows; nothing from the IRS in the mail as of Monday.

21 days from acceptance is Wednesday.

I just got off the phone with the IRS she was really nice and basically said there’s nothing to worry about when your bars disappear. That just means you are further along in the process.

I filed single on 1/29 and was accepted same day. Bars disappeared on Sat and it says it’s still processing but all my info is on the left side.

No path or the other credit. I’m in sales so just eduacafion credit and that’s really all. Refund was slightly larger than last year but same address same job nothing’s changed.

Will keep you posted. Not sure if it will update tomorrow or not until the weekend. I don’t understand the weekly for daily thing. Also haven’t ordered transcripts. Haven’t tried too. I’ve never done that before so I don’t really know how.

Yes Sam read the post that says letter in the mail. It’s extremely disappointing to say the least bud.
