I was apart of test batch and accepted 1/18… I was showing one bar up until yesterday (2/4) then all bars went MIA and it just shows refund amount and message:
“Were processing your return. Please continue to check back for a deposit date when available.”
Is anyone else experiencing this? I’ve read that when bars go missing and refund amount is still there that you’ve been approved and will update in coming days with DDD. This true?

@J-Me
Thanks for that. I saw that yesterday and then also say a few other tax blogs (reputable too) that say it’s normal for WMR bar to disappear before you get a deposit date… it does say that this is normal as long as the refund amount is present. If it’s not then it says there is an issue.
I remember this happening last year and then I got it went straight from that processing message to my refund being deposited. I’ve always received my refunds on Wednesday so I assume I will this week. If not, I’ll stress.

Were have you read there readjusting your refund? Tell me is it more from other forums were others saying what it means because im seeing allot of guessing going on here.
Im sorry but no were have i read on the irs site that it means any of what any of you are saying and my best advice it to check wmr for error codes or instructions to call and always check the mail box for letters…at 21 days if nothing is going on then call them but not before.

From what I’ve been reading around. If you lose refund amount also, then the IRS is readjusting your refund. This is what I’ve read from others past experiences.

You’re more than likely being re-sequenced due to being in a dead cycle.

I have been on another forum for the past couple days. I’m not sure if I can post the link here or not? But there are a lot of us with this message.
“Your refund is being processed a refund date will be given when available, please continue to check back here or with IRS to Go to get the most accurate information”
And no tax topic! No bars at all. I filed threw Taxact 1/23 bars disappeared this last Saturday and updated with the above info. I have claimed the EIC. Some of the people have not claimed any of the additional credits and are also receiving the message above.

@Taylor- I vaguely remember something happening last year that scared me right before I received it. I file with TT and have the last 4 years. I looked back and I never get a DDD or approval date. I get an email every Tuesday night at 12:30am (PST) before the last Wednesday where it would be 21 days saying, “Your Refund is on its way!” And then that next day which is always a Wednesday, I get the deposit. Hoping the same happens this Wednesday!

@Just If I recall correctly, it was the middle of Feb last year when I actually got my refund. Same thing happened last year, I filed early and it took forever to get my return. I can’t remember if I lost bars last year or not. I Just keep thinking “oh I screwed something up and now I won’t get my return until 2033 because the IRS is sooooooooooooooo slow.” Hopefully that isn’t the case, and we find something out this week!

Yeah, same here. I’m NEVER filing early again. I thought, “oh I’ll get to be first since I received my w2 unusually early this year.” This has been the longest I’ve ever had to wait.
With all the people who are in the same boat, it makes me think it’s just a processing step. I looked back in the forums and it seems people who filed the week before us experienced the no-bars the week before last and were paid this last Friday so I predict we’ll get our refund dates Wednesday.

PS:
Our online account transcript is blank, and previously showed a date of February 13, but now says February 20. Oivay.

I have the same situation with a wee twist:
Accepted 1/18.
EIC
ACTCBoth my spouse and I had one bar. His disappeared last week and returned with that message, while mine retained the initial bar. Last night I suppose, my bar disappears and now I have the same screen.
Just as a hope, while I don’t use H&R Block or the Emerald Card, Emerald Card has verified recipients of DD dates BEFORE the 15th. This helps our family none though as we use TaxAct.
Hope this helps somebody!

Same here buddy and exact same thing happened last year. Filed 1/17, accepted 1/18 this year. Bars disappeared last night. If it follows same suit as last year we should have a date Wednesday. I cant take much more of this. Next year I am not filing until the date they say they start processing

@Taylor -so glad to hear I’m not the only one. There are so many people in the same boat it can’t be a problem. Do you know what day you received deposit last year?

I’m hoping it updates tonight or tomorrow saying approved. I always get my refund on Wednesdays and I remember vaguely something like this last year.

We kinda are in the same boat as you . We filed on 1/30 . We had one bar and tax topic 152 and refund amount on left . Friday am bars gone , tax topic and same message as u . But , we do not have refund showing anymore ? That’s the only difference we have I think ? Who knows what all this means . I have heard we have been flagged for manual review ? We did claim the adoption credit ? But nothing else has changed . I saw two people did get letters Saturday about calling the IRS about their returns ? So maybe we will know more his week ?!?!? I hope so

That happened to me last year. Usually it means they need something further from you like i.d verification or they have selected you for audit. You will have to wait for a letter or call at 21 days to be sure. Mine resolved itself after 2 months, hope that gives you some insight. Probably not what you wanted to hear.
