I filed with Tax Act on 2/2 it was received later that day. My return still says “awaiting acceptance”. The IRS has no record of my return and Tax Act (after 2 hour wait) said that it was because we have EIC and ACTC for the first time.

Anyone else have this happen? How long does it take before I am accepted?

      What do I do??

Eic and actc for the first time doesn’t make it take longer to get accepted lol, the things these “tax professionals” say make you wonder if they should even be preparing people’s taxes. Last year was my first time claiming eic and actc (obviously) and was accepted immediately. This year it took 48 hours to be accepted.

Received and accepted means the same thing! It’s the 1st bar. Approved is 2nd bar. And because you have actc your update probably won’t happen until the 15th- 17th. Did you try to view the online transcripts? That may help.

I filed on 1/31/18 and was accepted less than 30 minutes later. I’ve never heard if you have EIC or ACTC for the first time it takes awhile for your taxes to be accepted. Have you reached out to the IRS to see what is taken so long to get accepted? That is a long time to wait.

Shouldn’t b 9 days! I don’t know what’s the problem or if there is one. I’ve just never heard of a 9 day acceptance period.
