570 theory

      I’m thinking I got the 570 code because one more my dependents turned 18 in July 2021. I didn’t get any ACTC payments for her in 2021, just for my younger two. But I was told I could claim her on my 2021 tax return as a dependent until she is 19.

      I don’t have 971 , just 570 and the refund amount hasn’t changed.

      Anyone think that’s why?

          I had a 570 code and it was because I owed the IRS money but they updated today and I have a 846-2-24-22 they took they money out and the remainder is coming to me .. 570 codes could have different meanings though
