So, after 3 hours 15 minutes, I now have a tax advocate case opened. I was told that I will hear from a TA from my “local” office by March 20. The lady in intake told me what to get from my employer and said I should have it ready to fax as soon as I hear from the TA. So, its obviously going to still be a while longer, but I at least feel like I accomplished something.
Also, they didn’t ask anything about a hardship. Maybe because its been so long since we filed?
And, crazy lady — congrats! I think we had the same dates. I’m happy to see someone is getting their refund.

I still have no change on my transcript- Filed 2/14 TT, accepted same day, began processing 2/18, filed injured spouse.
cycle 20190805
Still showing as of date 3/11
Still showing processing date 3/11
Still showing 570 action code 3/11I read that transcripts update throughout the day, but I don’t know if that’s accurate

So, I called the “local” tax advocate office and the lady who answered told me I had to call the national tax advocate line to see if they can open a case for me. She said they can only give info if I have a case. So, I immediately called the national tax advocate # and spoke to someone within 5 minutes. She took my info and asked me to hold. When she got back on the line, she asked if I worked last year because I have no wages reported for 2018. She said our return was most likely flagged for wage verification and the IRS is unable to verify my wages. She then said she was transferring me to intake and gave me a PIN in case we got disconnected. I held for over an hour and had to hang up to go into work. I called again as soon as I left work this afternoon. I gave my PIN# to be transferred to intake and I have now been holding for 2 hours and 33 minutes. I’m beginning to doubt that I will actually get to speak to someone in intake.

The only update to my transcript this morning is the “As Of” date listed beside Accrued Interest and Accrued Penalty. It used to say 3/11/2019. Now it says 4/1/2019. I’m going to try calling the tax advocate office again before work this morning to see if I can speak to someone. I don’t think I can just patiently wait until sometime next week for someone to call me back.

I gave in and finally called IRS. They told me exactly what I thought they would say. 45 day review. Letter will be mailed out 3/18/2019. Review begins on that date. I tried calling my “local” tax advocate office which is 2 hours away. No answer and unable to leave message. I filled out and faxed Form 911 to the fax # given for that office. I’m wondering how long it should take to hear back from someone. Should I just wait a few days or should I call then national tax advocate #? I will add that I did try calling the national line first before faxing the 911 form but the wait was too long and I had to hang up. I have to try to take care of everything on my lunch break.
I have also noticed that a lot of people with cycle 20190805 seem to have these same 570/971 codes with “45 day review”. I wonder what would have caused us all to be pulled for review.

I filed 1/21 and accepted 1/22 but…….my return wasn’t “officialy” accepted til 2/4…return is completed but injured spouse holding me up or so they say…soooo that means our returns were not worked on the moment they were accepted! 21 days after 2/4 gives me a date of 2/25 which is what says next to 570 code, i’m cracking these codes man! If i don’t crack myself first!!

Still have 570 w/ 3/4 date. No letters, no indication of any movement whatsoever. Filed and accepted 1/28. They really should accrue interest when it exceeds this far past. “If” I complete processing by the as of date on my transcript (3/11) it will be 6 weeks from my filing date. I don’t know what any of it means or if any of it makes sense. If I call the IRS, I just know they are going to give me the same 45 day review BS that everyone else gets.

Well, still no updates to my transcript this morning. Anyone else with same code/date update today? I’ll probably call IRS on Monday but I’ve been hesitant to call because it seems that many people are just getting the run around from reps when they call and its of no real help unless they have hardship and qualify for tax advocate.

Filed and accepted 1/30
Bars disappeared on WMR 2/19
570 with date 3/11/2019 on transcript 2/22
971 with date 3/18/2019 on transcrpit 3/1I am so frustrated and confused. Literally nothing has changed over the past several years. No significant changes to income. Still the same # of kids, still the same credits. We do receive a larger than average refund because of education credits for child in college, child care credits for younger children, etc., but we have always received our refund by the end of February. I looked at transcripts for 2015, 2016, 2017 and none of these codes are listed on our transcript for previous years. I don’t have the time or patience to call the IRS to ask about it. At this point, I assume it will be next Friday, March 8th before I see any more updates, it any at all, to our transcript.

If you can’t check your transcripts but your WMR changed from Take Action/1541 to being processed, good chances that tomorrow you’ll see the DDD on WMR.
