971 code 3-9-20

Filed and accepted 1-27-20.

I’ve never even heard of these codes until this year.
It
IRS representative stated they didn’t have my w2 from my employer. I contacted my employer and they called along with me providing proof to the IRS of tracking and such. IRS stated they’d look into it. I called back the next day, they stated MAYBE it was a 45 day audit, “we don’t know until the notice is sent.”
I plan to bug tomorrow.

  My codes and dates are exactly the same. I still haven’t received a letter. WMR says: we have received your return and it is being processed. I did create an online account this year. Filed with TT: 1/24/2020 Accepted: 1/27/2020. Recieved my state taxes: 2/14/2020.

  Same codes here with a as of date of 02/24/20. Only letter I’ve received was one about opening online account with the IRS. Just wondering if there is a trend of the codes in regard to the refund amount being higher than the average possibly. I have two dependents, HOH, return amount at least double what they say there average amount is, IDK anymore.
