Friday my bars disappeared And are still gone. The site says your tax return is still being processed a refund date will be provided when available. No tax topic listed. Any ideas as to why?

Happened to me last year and I had to call the identity protection line…

Called the irs. Lady was super rude and said she can’t pull anything until its been 21 business days from the 23rd. Even though I was accepted on the 13th and the website says 21 calendar days. She was rude from the get go. Im going to try again tomorrow.

Same here. Bars disappeared Friday, filed and accepted the 23rd no EITC or Child Credit. If we look under my husband’s info there are no bars, but if I put in my info there is one bar. I was worried so I called just to make sure everything was ok. The guy looked in to it for me, and said that there was nothing to worry about. That hasn’t stopped me from worrying :)

Bars missing, no tax topic, reads, your refund is still being processed, refund information will be provided when available. How long can they do this?

Call the IRS. For some people like me it was because my return was pulled for manual review. Other people on here claim it happened to them and it didn’t mean anything. Your best bet is to call the IRS directly after 21 days are up and complain. Seriously, and tell them you want a tax advocate.
