So I just checked status on our 3rd stimulus which it states last four numbers of account.We never owned account with those endings .Check it carefully our is beeping sent to someone’s else’s account I have to call Monday to change it .The fact that we gave them account for tax refund they are using 2020 tax to determine refund why not use account provided doesn’t make any sense. Anyone else with same problem.

My 1st stimulus was sent to the correct account. 2nd to a closed account, then it was mailed and got returned by the post office as undeliverable and now its cancelled. I have to file an amended return because I didnt claim the credit rebate because the check had already been sent out. The 3rd stimulus says dd 3/17 to the same closed account number used by Jackson Hewitt as my 2nd stimulus.

IRS has deposited my check into the closed account again! What can I do?

Anyone else feel like the irs is screwing this up on purpose? Like it’s really such simple things that they are fucking up. We all have current direct deposit info on file as well as 2019….: why would they go all the way back to 2018? Or just enter some random deposit account for no reason not knowing who’s it is? It’s fucking unbelievable. I understand technical difficulties but this is above and BEYOND. I can’t help but to feel something else is going on.

My first one was sent to that closed account from 2018, resent as a paper check
Second one took a long time to give status and was sent as a check 2/5
I have no idea why they pulled from 2018 again for mine.. especially since my refund was approved today with a DDD of 3/17 like come on really?
