Hey guys! I filed my tax return on 1/31 via TT and accepted 30 minutes later. 1 bar w/ topic 152 on WMR and no updated transcripts as of this morning. Filed single, pretty straightforward return, no kids / child credits, not PATH.
I claimed the recovery rebate credit for 3rd stimulus bc I did not think I received one in March of last year. However yesterday, I received letter 6475 from the IRS stating I DID receive a 3rd stimulus. In reality, I’m pretty sure I did receive the payment but it was right before I changed banks and I don’t have access to see my old account; it also shows on my 2021 account transcript.
So I’m guessing my refund will probably be delayed and short the $1,400 I actually received in March of last year? Anyone else make this mistake on the 3rd stimulus question and have you received your return yet? Or any idea how long it will be delayed? Should I file an amended return or just wait it out until I hit 21 days? Any advice / ideas appreciated!
