2nd Stimulus DD reject Republic Bank

Can anyone who’s DD was sent to Republic Bank, rejected and sent back to IRS that gets an update on the IRS portal or receives the paper check give an update here.

@C.myerz I never received a test deposit either. Some banks don’t show test deposits on the customer interface.

My GMP updated in the last hour. Transcripts updated about 6:30am with a DD for 2/3 with my correct bank account. I filed using TaxAct and was caught up in the TaxAct/Republic Bank fiasco. For whatever reason the second stimulus was split down the middle for my husband and I. They calculated his payment for him and 1 and 1/2 of our children (we have 3 and not sure how you split a child in half lol) and his GMP status read mailed 1/6 and arrived here in Michigan 1/15.

Mine read Status Not Available until an hour ago. My half was calculated as me and 1 and 1/2 of our children. We file joint every year, so I am not sure how or why this stimulus was split or how my half got caught in the Republic Bank hell but his didn’t. Received the first stimulus no problem in whole (not split) DD into our bank account.

@C.myerz I got my DD today. I too was part of the TaxAct/Rebuplic Bank mess. I don’t recall seeing the test deposit either in my account. My transcripts updated 1/26 and my GMP shortly after that. I hope this helps! Hope you gets your soon!

I HAVE YET TO GET MY SECOND EPI CHECK DD OR BY MAIL..THIS IS BECOMING VERY FRUSTRATING TO HAVE NOT BE CAUGHT UP IN THIS ERROR MADE FROM THE IRS ..MY DD WAS SENT BACK TO THW IRS AS DEC.30 AND IS STILL HAVE NOTGING IN MY ACCOUNT I DONT EVEN THINK GOT A TEST RUN FROM WHOM EVER IS RESPONSIBLE ON HANDLING THIS ACTION..BASICALY I JUST WAMT MY FUNDING LIKE EVERONE ELSE..IF U GOT URS PLEASE RESPOND TO WHAT IT TOOK TO GET IT

Just got my DD onto Netspend All Access filed thru Liberty Tax who used Republic Bank my GMP still says status not available just wanted to update

Talked to a woman at Taxact today. She says they are coming. They said by 2/1, irs says they will start depositing on 2/1. She says if you got the test deposit, you will get your stimulus.

Just checked my transcript this morning and it shows refund cancelled 1/18 and refund reissued 1/29. I used TaxAct. GMP is still showing unavailable. Fingers crossed I get the direct deposit Friday!

Got test deposit on the 12th and still haven’t got my check. Called republic bank and said the irs should be issuing these checks feb 1. But I called irs and they basically have no information for me. Since the bank was going through a system change they should be responsible for our money! Just like hrblock and turbo tax did. Keep updated if anyone gets theirs.

@Lauren I haven’t. Supposedly starting tomorrow they are updating GMP with deposit date but not sure how true that is. Just happen to see someone post they spoke to IRS and that’s what they were told.

IM IN THE SAME BOAT, HAVE YET TO ALSO GET MY STIMULUS, REBUPLIC SEND OUT THE FIRST ONE VIA MAIL BUT STILL WAITING FOR SECOUND AS WELL THEY AT LEAST SHOULD OF CONSIDERED MAILING THEM OUT LIKE LAST TIME INSTEAAD OF REJECTING THEM.

Got first stimulus no problem. TaxAct and second went to republic bank. Have received all emails from TaxAct, including the one regarding direct deposit by feb first, had test deposit on the 12th. Netspend. GMP still says unavailable. No deposit yet.

GMP unavailable. Received test deposit on 13th from Republic Bank. Got the email stating dd by 2/1.

I got an emal for TaxAct stating they have received confirmation for the IRS that second stimulus payment will be delivered via direct deposit by 2/1. Anyone else get the email? GMP still shows status unavailable.

@Nikki,

Republic Taxpayer put a notice on their website that it was a great sign to have $0, though not necessary. Apparently, the IRS is working with Republic to get the correct account numbers. Hopefully, we will see action soon!

Have anyone received their second stimulus check? Republic bank sent a pending 0.00 to my checking account then it was gone in the morning haven’t seen any other activity since.

Last or most recent information I got was yesterday and the IRS told me that they are still sending our stimulus even though it went to closed account they got it back and we will receive a check or debit card by February 1st

THIS YEAR OF FILING, I RECOMMEND FOR YOU ALL TO GO FILE AT A PLACE THAT DONT DEAL WITH REPUBLIC BANK. THE SAME THING COULD HAPPEN TO YOUR NXT STIMULUS. WHICH IS IN APRIL….I THINK. I WILL NOT BE FILING UNDER REPUBLIC BANK.

Well i decided not to use Republic bank, especially the nxt stimulus will probably be coming out by the end of April.

Republic rejected back to the IRS. IRS agent says 5 weeks for paper check. Thanks republic bank. H&R decided to facilitate the transfers(at their expense) instead of rejecting, what a stand up company. Republic bank chose otherwise and made a selfish decision. I hope they suffer a loss of clients and revenue as a result of their decision. I have the same account# republic bank and email, phone#. How hard would it have been to at least try?

So after waiting on hold with the IRS for over an hour, I just spoke to someone that stated and I quote “It generally takes 2-4 weeks to reissue a rejected payment.”

Me. GMP still says that my status is unavailable, and my transcript shows no amount but a date of 1/18. I am seriously hoping we get it sooner.

Ahhh thanks @. I guess it did happen to many of us. I just called and even though I cannot see my payment status it says mine has been sent back to IRS.

No… payment status not available but I called the RB automated line and it said it was recvd and sent back to the IRS.

Did your payment status show an account with the last three of your SSN and a 0 at the end? If not it was not sent to Republic Bank.
