I can’t believe how much this forum and even the FB page has died down .. Just goes to show almost everybody has already gotten answers and their money and went MIA with it! Yet here I am still with no progress :(

      Filed & also accepted 2/2.
Have been stuck at 1 bar since the 2nd. Luckily never lost my one and only bar or had any tax codes other than 152 that would even indicate a problem! But I feel like there’s a problem because I’ve never had to wait this long. And with everybody having to verify and all its deff scares me! Anybody else in the same boat who called the IRS to see what’s up? I’m debating on it .. But I’ll also kick myself in the ass if come day 22 & still nothing so I finally call only to find out that I needed to verify a week ago or some BS!

Any other 2/2s still no movemrnt??

I’m in the January disaster too. I filed and was accepted within an hour on 01/24 with Turbo Tax. I lost my bars, everything after only a few days. Topic 152 and must wait 4 weeks from the date you mailed your return before any info can be obtained re: your tax return along with a message reading if you have any questions please call us at 1-800-wes-ayno! Oh additionally at ext 362 that I’ve been told doesn’t exist by an IRS agent and code 9001.

Finally decided to verify through the website in case it was an identity issue. After answering all questions I would only know the answers to, I was congratulated and received a message saying my return would begin processing again and I’d be looking at up to 6 weeks out for processing.

I called the tax payer protection program and they told me that’s wrong, it’s suppose to be 9 weeks out and that is their script hey are suppose to read from when asked one frame.

So who knows and yes, I would love my money right now more than almost anything. After recently graduating nursing school, that return money was/is to be used towards a new car as a grad gift to myself.

            Thank you Debbie Downer IRS..

That makes total sense considering I was tagged as a weekly last year due to an error. I have passed my 21days & was informed to give it another week or 2. Guess I’m being resequenced as well.
This sucks..not only am I included in the January disaster filers but I’ve got a crap filing method! Ugh! I’m Sooooo broke…need my loot like last month!
Hoping this moves along accordingly.. ????

I don’t think that the forum has necessarily died down because people have gotten answers. I think it’s more due to the fact that most of us haven’t gotten straight forward answers and have just given up on the IRS being honest with us with all this bulls**t!

I myself have grown tired of it all. I’ve read where people are told they need to ID verify then they are later told there is no record of their return and then they are told oh yes we have it and it’s under manual review or God knows what else.

It’s really disappointing that our own govt cannot get themselves together soon enough for this tax filing season having a whole year to prepare for it. And seriously, the govt getting hacked? Really??? It’s just too hard to believe. If they are hacked that easily then I’d say the United States intelligence, security, military, and everything else about our country is in really bad shape and vulnerable, which is why I don’t believe it was a hack. Sigh… I do hope you find an answer to your question..but then you have to ask yourself what will the next question or set back be?..

I feel like I shouldn’t even be complaining since I know what some people who filed in Jan. went through! This whole tax season has been a nightmare! But at this point I feel like 2 weeks stuck on 1 bar might be just as bad as those who lost bars and needed to verify! I can almost guarantee that if I don’t get an update by Wednesday and I DO finally call, they’re going to tell me I’ve needed to verify for weeks now =/ I’ve also seen on here people saying that the IRS actually didn’t accept returns until days later than what we were emailed or told! I just need an answer on whether I’m OK or not. I wish I had my money yea…. But I wish I knew what the hell was going on more lmao.

I’m right there with you, TT152, 1 bar, no change on WMR since 2/2. Was finally able to order account transcript on 2/12, but couldn’t and still cant order return transcript. I tried to verify ID on the IRS ID verification webpage but it didn’t seem I needed to do that since I couldn’t get past the 1st step. Im trying to be patient since I’m barely through half of the 21 day period.

If it makes you feel any better, I read some IRS manuals today regarding processing time, and they are supposed to get your refund issued within 45 days from when your return is accepted, after 45 days they have to start paying you interest on your refund for every day they are overdue. So it sounded by the manual that there is pressure to get taxpayers refunded before this deadline.

Just hang in there. I need the money as bad as anyone else. It seems like I’m a lifetime weekly processor. I made a mistake a few years ago on my kids SSN’s and had to amend, since then it has always been a few weeks for me, and from what I understand, when you have made any type of error in the past or they have had to correct any math errors you are tagged with a “00” code on your account and that makes you a weekly processor rather than daily. Also this means you can be shuffled 1 or 2 cycles back in the batch of weeklys
