      Good Morning,

I’m a first time poster. Anyway I filed and was audited last year. After a daunting year of fighting, I won! They did, however, change me from HOH to single because although I provided my lease I didn’t provide proof that I paid it (although I’m the only lease holder). Long story short I got my refund January 2017. (Yikes I know).

I filed my return this year on 2/2 and was accepted. I have EIC idk about ACTC. But since I filed I’ve been stuck on one bar with the “We’ve received your tax return and it is being processed. If you filed a complete and accurate return…”. I have TT 152 and my amount still shows up. I can’t order transcripts online because I have a fraud alert on my credit. I was only able to mail order my account transcript not my return transcript.

Does it seem I may be being audited again? I really don’t wanna wait another year for a refund. Any help is appreciated.

          Filed 2/8
WMR updated on 2/17 with direct deposit date of 2/22.

Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 22, 2017.

If your refund is not credited to your account by February 27, 2017, check with your bank to see if it has been received.

          Please Note:

For refund information, please continue to check here, or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day.

Most people who have claimed EITC/ACTC show a path act message on the WMR site. I recommend you call the IRS number on their website and ask a representative. If you do that, please update us. Hopefully its good news!

I e-Filed 2/8 received message stating it was accepted a few hours later.

During the next two days the WMR site said “You may not have entered your information correctly. Please verify your personal tax data and try again”

On 2/10 the WMR site said “We have received your tax return and it is being processed” and I had one orange progress bar.

On 2/11 the WMR site said “According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before February 15 for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.

Check Where’s My Refund after February 15 for your personalized refund status. It’s updated once a day and remains the best way to check the status of your refund.”

From the info you’ve given, it doesn’t necessarily mean you will be audited again (although it has happened that people have been audited in successive years). I would imagine your delay is due to claiming the EITC. It’s an either/or situation with the IRS as far as the EITC and ACTC are concerned, and some who have claimed education credits are reporting delays as well.

If you haven’t seen any updates by the 23rd, contact the IRS to see what is going on with your return. And congrats on winning your audit last year!
