DD 2/26/20 as of yesterday! A friend of mines transcript said 2/25/20 and he received his refund on yesterday @530pm on his prepaid chime card..
@Nina, I pay in every year to IRS (similar time the offset) I always receive the rest of my refund.
It should show on your transcript and also tell you the amount reduced from your tax refund. -

I have a ddd of 2/26 but WMR says I have a possible offset. When I call the offset line there’s nothing listed .. anyone else in a similar situation?

RW ….Except for last year when we had the shut down, yes…we always received our money about 3-4 days early. I looked at all our past transcripts to verify that. One year we got our money 10 days before the processing date lol..That was 2015, the year before the path act. I have the same codes and dates as you. I AM PRAYING we see money DD Saturday..at least a pending deposit.

My transcripts updated, I have received the 846 code and it says 2/26 for the date. So, that tells us that apparently “weekly” people dont have to wait until Saturdays to see an update. Good luck everyone.

I’m hearing cycle 04 and 05 got recycled because processing date was before 2/18 the official date for path release. The batches are running backwards, first in, last out. February 1-6 filers will get money first. Then week 2/17 then 2/10 last. Yes so first week of March for most of us. I always see this happen with early filers.
-
February 20, 2020 at 4:31 pm #4362675
so no shutdown, yet it will take even longer than last year? lmao….makes zero sense. It don’t jive. WHATEVER I guess. Moral of the story, we get it when we see it. lol ..

On the phone with the IRS and the lady just told me that they did not start processing returns until the 18th. She then stated that refunds should start going out on the 29th. When I asked her was that specific to my return she stated returns that had the EITC and ACTC. So I asked if she could look up my return and she stated that mine did not have a date. SMDH

I just called 1-800-829-0582 ext. 652, spoke to a woman. Was placed on a brief hold. The woman explained that my return is being processed under the PATH act and WMR will be updated at the end of Feb. She said I will receive my refund the 1st week of March.

I got my DD date from the very nice gentleman on the phone and it is Sat Feb 29th. He did say that they are behind in releasing the refunds from the PATH Act, because of the 15th being a Saturday and the 17th being a holiday. 9 days to go. Everyone should expect WMR to update by Sunday.

February 20, 2020 at 9:22 am #4361779Jeannie Kennedy
Just talked to nice IRS lady. Called because I got to wondering if that person who tried to file under my name caused me to be audited or something and I was just waiting for bad news, and was told that my 21 days was up yesterday I am just in their queue of waiting to be released so I should have my deposit in the within the next 10 days and if I don’t to call back. Whoohoo!
For those who will ask:

So since our processing date was on 2/17, does this mean there’s an extra delay? I’m just so confused. I usually wait until Path lifts to file and this is the first year I decided not to, and the waiting just sucks.
I checked transcripts online and the credits have been applied, no other codes… I’m assuming just waiting on a direct deposit date?
-
February 20, 2020 at 8:05 am #4361633mrschancito
l caved and called the IRS. They stated that the PATH act was not lifted yet, and l should see a refund date this weekend.

Last year, my transcripts had a ddd of 2/27 or 2/28, but I got my refund in my bank account on 2/21. It was in there before wmr showed a ddd. I was hoping the same thing happened this year, but it likes it’s not.

February 20, 2020 at 6:45 am #4361527Sarah H
I just received my state refund by DD but still nothing with my federal.
20200505 cycle date w/ processing date of 2/17/20
I filed 1/11
Accepted 1/27In previous years my DD was a few days after my processing date except last year which was about a week or so before the processing date.

-
February 19, 2020 at 12:07 pm #4359287
Hey I just wanted to clarify a couple things and add my 2¢.. @mamabear they will not be skipping anyone that has a processing date of 2/17.
I wanted to point out that the processing date does not always matter. For me
2019 processing date 2/27 and received refund 2/22
2018 processing date 2/10 received refund 2/23
2017 processing date 2/18 received refund 2/22
-
February 19, 2020 at 11:34 am #4359217
It means that they haven’t started processing your return yet. They’ve received it though. As soon as you are able to see actual data on your refund and account returns, that means your return is being processed. Once you can see data on your Wages and Income transcript, that means you have finished processing and SHOULD have a DDD at least.
HTH

Previous Year Trends

February 19, 2020 at 8:25 am #4358739Shelli
My processing date was on the holiday last year as well. Got updated to 846 on the next day (Tueday) with DDD for that Friday. Don’t understand what the hold-up is this year, and I am getting super frustrated. It doesn’t help that my state refund is somehow in a holding pattern as well. I just need one of them to come through with a DDD that is this week or next week!
-
February 19, 2020 at 7:57 am #4358698Mamabear
So considering it was a holiday on 2/17. The ones with that processing date got skipped this time but since it’s just waiting for that 846 code and updates to be expected on Friday, I am hopeful that we will see movement then.
-
February 19, 2020 at 6:06 am #4358511G.Mo.
Still nothing. No 846 code on transcripts. WMR says processing since Saturday. 20200505 cycle code with 2/17/2020 date. Last year 846 code was 2/22/2019. This week isn’t looking promising….
-
February 18, 2020 at 10:37 pm #4357748
So, I’m curious about the red and green circles on SBTPG, because I don’t have that. Do only people with the refund advance have it?

So I’m bored and decided to look at the trend from previous years
My transcript for:
2017 20170405 as of 2-13-17 ddd 2-22-17 9 days later
2018 20180505 as of 2-19-18(Presidents’ Day) ddd 2-22-18 3 days later
2019 20190805 as of 3-11-19 ddd 3-20-19 9 days later -

cycle code 20200505 processing date 2/17/2020. on santa barbara i have a green circle with a little bit of red which is my advanced return of $250. Is this a good sign or not? not DDD on wheres my refund yet. still message of still being processed. I’m hoping of a DDD of 2/21 even better tomorrow. so frustrating
-
February 18, 2020 at 5:43 pm #4357097Jordan
Filed 02/01.
Return Accepted 02/02
WMR says that my return has been received and is being processed. When I check my transcripts, there is no return or record of account transcript for 2019 and the account transcript and wage & income transcripts both state that no return has been filed.Any clue what that means?
-
February 18, 2020 at 5:03 pm #4356998Jeremy
@kevin
Mine as the refund amount and the tt152 still. It says still being processed. I’ve looked on the irs and everywhere else and dont see a definition of the message. I’m seeing lots of ppl who filed the same day and around that time who also have it. I dont know -
February 18, 2020 at 4:48 pm #4356964
@jeremy does it say “still being processed” or “being processed” on the wmr? I’ve had before in the past, currently I have “being processed”.
From what I understand with the “still being processed” your return needs a second look and they cannot guarantee the 21 day time frame. When this happened to me it did in fact take a longer period of time to get my tax return back. I ended up getting a tax advocate to help. I got my money back in May of that year.
-
February 18, 2020 at 4:30 pm #4356920Mamabear
@jeremy it went from topic 152 to “we have received your tax return and it is being processed”
The processing date is still saying 2/17. Last year WMR didn’t update until after DD.
-
February 18, 2020 at 4:09 pm #4356876Jeremy
@mamabear
I’ve never had the still processing message before till now. But everyone seems to say its not good. I’ve seen some though who say it isnt. There is a whole lot of ppl with it who filed around 1/27 to 1/30 though. So who knows -
February 18, 2020 at 4:01 pm #4356860Mamabear
@jeremy no, i compared last year’s transcript and the code to this year’s and the only thing missing is that 846 code. Very simple return. No EIC but additional child act.
-
February 18, 2020 at 3:56 pm #4356854Jeremy
@mamabear
So you didnt have no bad codes on your transcripts. Sorry to keep bothering you. You were one of the ppl who filed the same day as me who has pretty much been step by step the same as me in this process. Alot of ppl are saying the still being process message is really bad and will delay things awhile. But I’m seeing alot of ppl who have the same message around 1/27 to 1/31. Who knows though -
February 18, 2020 at 2:29 pm #4356750Mamabear
@nene88 look for the cycle date and codes 846. Mine is available with codes 150, 806, 766, but it still needs 846 which means that the funds have been released. My cycle code is 20200505
-
February 18, 2020 at 1:53 pm #4356696
I am new but my transcripts are not blank but I’m not sure what I am looking for on them
-
February 18, 2020 at 1:21 pm #4356648Hofular
Anyone else here have to go through ID verify last year? I did and I didn’t get my tax returns til almost June last year. I am super paranoid about my taxes this year. I filed on 2/11 and got accepted on 2/13. I’m really hoping I don’t have to go through all that again this year. I’m also a PATHer.
-
February 18, 2020 at 1:06 pm #4356631Lovely
Dear IRS,
It doesn’t get more mid February than this….
-
February 18, 2020 at 12:18 pm #4356558Jeremy
@mamabear
Yeah I have the still processing now too. Mine was at1bar and recieved and processing till today. I never had the path message -
February 18, 2020 at 12:15 pm #4356549
I have the same thing as everyone:
20200505
02-17-2020I wonder since yesterday was Presidents’ Day and it was a holiday that the people at the IRS weren’t there to process the returns. If that’s the case I wonder if we get bumped to next week or maybe if we are lucky later this week, just a day off because of Presidents’ Day?
I once had 570 code and that sucked so ever since I’ve worried about getting my refund back in a timely manner.
-
February 18, 2020 at 12:08 pm #4356543Mamabear
@jeremy yes on wmr still being processed. Changed from path to current message over the weekend.
Transcripts codes are 150, 806, 766 with processing date 2/17. So just waiting for the 846 code now.Cycle code 20200505.
Like I said, last year processing date was 2/25. Got the actual DD on the 2/26 though transcript code 846 said issue refunded 2/27. So I’m hopeful that it’s on the way this week.
-
February 18, 2020 at 11:47 am #4356525Jeremy
@mamabear Well good. I cant check mine but hopefully it’s there lol. You still have the still being processed message?
-
February 18, 2020 at 11:42 am #4356515Mamabear

@mamabear
So you are able to see your transcripts for this year? -
February 18, 2020 at 10:58 am #4356445
Well checked my transcripts and the only thing that’s changed is that I’m seeing a “request/response date” of 2/18/2020.
Like most everyone else here, WMR has no bars no code 152, same cycle/processing date and in years past I have received a DDD within a few days of the processing date.
Our president surely is a peacock if nothing else lol. So, he did take all day Monday to be celebrated. So that’s probably part of the delay this year. I’m praying for this week.
-
February 18, 2020 at 10:29 am #4356391Mamabear
Last year our processing date was 2/25 but we had a dd on 2/26 though on last years transcript it said the refund was issued 2/27!
Weekly always 05.WMR is processing and not on topic 152 any longer.
Transcripts are just missing the 846 code. We got accepted 1/27. -
February 18, 2020 at 10:11 am #4356368Crbaby
Hey guys
I noticed this years IRS expected refund dates for us Pathers are the first week of March but last year it was the last week of February( 27th ) I believe ! So If I go by my transcripts every year I filed early I received my deposit on the 22nd it 23rd if February. I’m hoping they stick to protocol this year! -
February 18, 2020 at 10:03 am #4356357msnellen82
@bjustice Exactly. Last year I received my DD and my transcript and WMR updated either that same day, or the following day. Last year my DD was deposited 2 days after my cycle date, so ours this year should be either tomorrow or Thursday (taking into account the holiday).
-
February 18, 2020 at 9:38 am #4356332bjustice
TurboTax shows Est refund date of 2/17 as well.
For the last 3 years, my transcript and “Where’s My Refund?” has updated AFTER my return has deposited. And it has been usually the Wed/Thursday directly following the PATH act 2/15 date. SO I’m expecting ours to deposit tomorrow or 2/20.
However I would not complain about today.
-
February 18, 2020 at 9:00 am #4356290Chris
@LibraMama just logged in my TurboTax bar is full as well, it might just be a glitch since it still says accepted but I’m hoping for something good

Hello! 2020505 date of 2/17 here as well. This is my 1st looking at transcript bc I never had to wait this long for a refund even with PATH. Last year it took a week to get a DDD. I filed 1/27 this year. Probably should’ve waited like I did last year to file. Yesterday it was sayin my info was wrong now its saying being processed like it was a couple days ago on the wmr.

One bar on WMR
Bars disappeared to path act 2/1
“We have received your return and it is being processed” 2/15

As of 2/17/2020I hope the DDs start rolling in this week.
-
February 17, 2020 at 1:31 pm #4354917LibraMama
I logged on to my turbo tax bar is all the way across , which is a change for today but I have no deposit date showing. My processing date is 2/17 on on Path and bank with Chime.
-
February 17, 2020 at 1:15 pm #4354901Bathsheba
In 2017 had processing date for 2/20/2017 got 846 and dd on 2/22/2017. In 2018 had processing date of 2/26/2018 got 846 and dd on 2/22/2018. I didn’t receive either credit last year but my processing date was 2/10/2020 this year so I think it’s safe to say I’ll get my dd this week I also think those with 2/17/2020 processing date will see there dd this week as well even those with 2/24/2020 date could possibly see their dd by Thursday.
-
February 17, 2020 at 1:06 pm #4354891Stephanie

-
February 17, 2020 at 12:37 pm #4354846
@stoney The estimated refund date on TurboTax is the 21 day mark from when your return was accepted. The IRS issues most refunds in that time frame, however, those subject to the PATH Act, or, with other, individual tax circumstances could be issued beyond that date. It is merely Turbo Tax giving you their best guess.
-
February 17, 2020 at 11:58 am #4354794Shawty25
@stoney
Login to your account if the bar is all the way across it should have an estimated date underneath. It should be three dates listed, your file date, acceptance date, and estimated refund date

Only difference is my TT refund date updated this morning to 2/12/20. From the 2/19/20 date. Very weird.

Well WMR updated from PATH to processing. Currently 20200505 and 2/17/2020. Can see all transcripts but wage & income transcript says “no record of tax return filed” or something like that. Praying that we’ll get a DDD for this Thursday.

This waiting is the worst. At this point I think the IRS is just messing with us. I have never updated from PATH to being processed, it has always gone to a DDD after PATH. So now I’m second guessing myself, wondering if I entered something wrong, stressing that I’m going to get audited or something. Does WMR or transcripts ever update on Sundays? Yikes, this is stressful.

Hey, howzabout that! Two about-to-be-nine-year olds, what are the odds! Happy Birthday to your youngster–I think you have a better chance at meeting her birthday deadline, financially, then my son and I do (unfortunately for us but happily for you, fingers crossed).
Patience and faith, and I’m sure you’ll be getting your golf on soon, or whatever else there is to do down there in MB lol.

Updated this AM of course from PATH to “Your return IS being processed,” yada yada yada….
For SURE next update will be DDD, just wish it was for this week lol 😂……
Transcripts are the same from 2/2 (Last time I updated to PATH)…same codes, same as of date, nothing has changed except the update on wmr….
My next hypothesis for myself (weekly), would be an update this upcoming weekend for a DDD of 2/26…idk anymore lol 😂, at least that’s my bday!!!

Until this year, my refund always hit BEFORE my processing date. For example, last year was 2 weeks behind now, with cycle 20190705. My transcripts showed processing date of 3/4/19, but then refund was issued 2/27/19 which was a Wednesday, however I received it on Tuesday 2/26/ Maybe this year will be the same, and I’ll get my deposit on the 20th. That seems logical, as technically, if not for that darn PATH, I’d think it should have been here already, based off of the earlier time frame this year of 20200505 cycle code and 2/17/20 processing date.

I have looked at so many people who have shown their transcripts on Facebook. Seems like every PATH person is a weekly. Transcripts per IRS website are updated daily. Deposits go out on Wednesday for weekly’s so most likely anyone with a processing date of 2/17/2920 will see their refund on 2/19/2020. Follows the trend deposits are 2 days after processing date.

As of Date 2/17/2020I have a theory, as I was looking at my transcripts from prior years. Last year we received our refund on 2/27, which was the latest ever since the PATH Act went into effect. The difference last year? The government shutdown. The IRS was working with a skeleton staff, I anticipate many people getting their DD’s next week starting almost directly after the holiday. There are many articles stating that the IRS no longer processes refunds on 2 specific days of the week. This is the reason they no longer put a schedule up. returns and refunds are now processed 7 days a week.
Does IRS send refunds on Saturdays?
Does the IRS deposit refunds on weekends. Simple answer yes they do unless its a government shutdown.Jun 4, 2019
ttlc.intuit.com › community › after-you-file › discussion › does-the-irs-d…
Does the IRS deposit refunds on weekends – TurboTax Support – IntuitSearch for: Does IRS send refunds on Saturdays?
As there is no government shutdown this year, they would release refunds on Saturday. The delay would be, most banks close by Noon-2pm on Saturdays, Monday the 17th is a Federal and Banking Holiday. This is why I anticipate many deposits to be seen starting on Tuesday. There are millions of people awaiting the release of PATH refunds, I would assume that, knowing this, clearinghouses would get their ducks in a row, and, add needed people. This is assuming that they care about their employees and customers. The wait is almost over. 48 hours, less than, technically. Hang in there guys.

@Adreda That announcement is from 2017. This year, it only states mid-February everywhere, except that updates will come after 15th. It is entirely possible for people to get it a couple days before the 15th this year. Many have stated DDD of 12th, so we will see.

FYI. Pathers def wont get a refund before 15th.
The Internal Revenue Service has announced initial plans for processing tax returns involving the Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit during the opening weeks of the 2017 filing season. The IRS is sharing the information now to help the tax community prepare for the 2017 season, and plans are being made for a wider communication effort this summer and fall to alert taxpayers about the changes that will affect some early filers.
This action is driven by the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 (PATH Act) that was enacted Dec. 18, 2015, and made several changes to the tax law to benefit taxpayers and their families. Section 201 of this new law mandates that no credit or refund for an overpayment for a taxable year shall be made to a taxpayer before Feb. 15 if the taxpayer claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit on the return.
This change begins Jan. 1, 2017, and may affect some returns filed early in 2017. Additional information is listed below.
To comply with the law, the IRS will hold the refunds on EITC and ACTC-related returns until Feb. 15.
This allows additional time to help prevent revenue lost due to identity theft and refund fraud related to fabricated wages and withholdings.
The IRS will hold the entire refund. Under the new law, the IRS cannot release the part of the refund that is not associated with the EITC and ACTC.
Taxpayers should file as they normally do, and tax return preparers should also submit returns as they normally do.
The IRS will begin accepting and processing tax returns once the filing season begins, as we do every year. That will not change.
The IRS still expects to issue most refunds in less than 21 days, though IRS will hold refunds for EITC and ACTC-related tax returns filed early in 2017 until Feb. 15 and then begin issuing them.
This is one more step the IRS is taking to ensure taxpayers receive the refund they are owed. The IRS plans to work closely with stakeholders and IRS partners to help the public understand this process before they file their tax returns and ensure a smooth transition for this important law change.
More information about this law will be posted to IRS.gov and shared with partners and taxpayers throughout the second half of 2016.

Hoping for DDD next Saturday, I did not update at all this weekend, so I know I’m just waiting on my DDD. Fingers crossed it really is released as soon as the PATH lifts.

I filed and was accepted on 2/3. When I log on I can actually view my account transcript already. I have the EITC. My idea is they have started working on refunds. I have a cycle code already for 2/24/20. Is that possible ?

Filed 1/26. Last Saturday i got the PATH message on WMR. Still remains.
I’m able to check both account and return transcripts. It gives my cycle code 20200505. With the date 2/17/2020 next to it. Crossing fingers that is when I will receive it .Used turbo tax w/fees taken out.
Getting EIC.Good luck everyone!!!

Accepted 1/22Got path message as of now. I only have ACTC. No EIC. So I’m still Path.
Checked my transcripts, I have a cycle code of 20200405 as of 2/10/20 and 150 code too.
So does that mean I will get my refund on 2/10, even though I am path?

Resequenced, meaning the machine has pushed your return back to process during the next cycle, or there was a small calculation error that needs to be fixed. *IF* that’s what happened to you.

What does re-sequenced mean when it comes to the Irs and processing refunds??
-
February 2, 2020 at 9:35 am #4336782
My irs account says its unavailable now. My transcripts are available and still fine. I can see those. But is anyone else seeing the account info on the irs site being unavailable? Does that mean anything or maybe they are just updating things?
-
February 2, 2020 at 9:26 am #4336778
@krystal
More than likely you were re-sequenced. -
February 2, 2020 at 9:24 am #4336777
@honeybee
Yes that is true. You’re transcript update triggers wmr updates
-
February 2, 2020 at 9:17 am #4336776Honeybee
I updated on wmr for the first time since filing…on PATH message as of 2-3am (amount gone)….so it is true the transcripts update before wmr does.
-
February 2, 2020 at 9:09 am #4336775Krystal
It was accepted, I have 1 bar on wmr with the generic message. I can click on the transcript but it just doesn’t have any numbers plugged in, or a cycle code. It shows my claiming status and if also has a tracking number to it. But that’s it..

@Crystal
You may have been re-sequenced. It happens to me every year. As long as you have been accepted, then they have your return. Transcripts will not become available until they start processing it. -
February 2, 2020 at 8:56 am #4336769
@lynzee
If your transcripts are unavailable, it means they have not started on your return. -
February 2, 2020 at 8:29 am #4336766Lynzee
Anyone know what it means if no transcripts available yet
-

Guys I need help!!!!
I filed my taxes on 1/27
Accepted 1/27I went to look at my transcripts and it shows nothing, shows no refund received. What does this mean??? Have they not got to it yet? Should I worry!?
-
February 2, 2020 at 7:26 am #4336757GiGi
Guess I gotta wait until 2/17 to see my bars come back. I also just noticed when I checked WMR that my amount went missing too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

somehow I’m not able to post the link. Look up “2020 Tax Transcript Cycle Code Charts” and if you see a website called “refund talk”. Select that one and it should explain it.

It’s a cycle code. It is an 8 digit code found on your account transcripts. The cycle code indicates the day your account posted to the IRS Master File. This date indicates the 4 digits of the current cycle year, two-digit IRS cycle week, and two-digit processing day of the week.

This year is weird period…I can see my refund amount, cycle code, as of date, and credits but have not been able to look up my info on WMR soooo….idk what that’s all about lol.
I could be mistaken but I believe transcripts update before the WMR site? My transcripts updated friday night (I couldn’t see them before) and now I have the PATH message on WMR. It’s just a waiting game now. I file exactly the same every year so I’m not worried. Used to the wait, just hate it lol.
