OK, we know were are among the ones that will be Held again this year! Lets keep each other updated and supported through this LONG ordeal again!

    Who has Filed already?
    Who will file Soon?
    Who isn’t in a rush?

I haven’t filed yet, not in a rush but I will file as soon as I receive my last W2. Not chasing the FB groups like last year lol

So I’m seeing all these references to the 02/17 date for WMR to update, is it pointless to even check or hope for anything to be updated tonight. If it doesn’t happen then oh well, just don’t wanna hope for something that may not happen lol after last year I have no faith in the IRS lol

@Sandi – no, they won’t be release in the order received because one return filed 01/18 that has numerous changed (name, file status, address change) will hold up the processing. One who submits on 02/04 and checks out with no secondary verification, etc. may sail through and they get their refund quicker due to no status changes.

Yes, my WMR did not update to 3 bars/funds sent until two days after I’d already received my refund (which was 01/30).

2 questions. Are they releasing funds in order of when they recieved and accepted or are they just sending it all out at once for all of us that are waiting..

Also is it possible that we will recieve our refunds before WMR even updates off of the PATH message?

I could have sworn this forum was for tax paying ADULTS. I mean, correct me if I’m wrong…

Some of you need to take some of that tax money and smoke a bowl or two.

Im guessing she has eic or actc since your posting in this thread?

My wife is a 2/14 DD and she has not received her refunds yet in her Security Bank of Southwest account,

There is nothing pending either. is this suppose to be a delay from the bank?

Is anyone going through this too?

@momjess the point I was trying to make wasnt when the first person saw the article it was the fact that the article states no one receiving eitc or the additional tax credit will see an update until Feb 17th

On another note….to anyone else reading. They posted some archives on the IGMR fb page showing how things went down last year. Last year the first 846 codes for Pathers showed on Thurs 1/16 and the first ddd’s posted on wmr for 2/22 on Friday Feb 17 (if I remember right, last year the IRS said most would get their update on the 18th).

So now we wait and see if those updates will be thurs and fri this year also or Friday and Saturday. Either way I’m sure most of us will get an update of a 2/21 ddd by Saturday.

At least next year will be easier to predict having 2 path years to look back on rather than 1.

Revised, yes. But the original info was there long ago. If you search my posts you’ll even see I copied and pasted the Same message over a week ago lol.

@momjess https://www.irs.gov/individuals/refund-timing which they revised Jan 30 2018 if u go to the bottom of the page.

@9966 You do not have to pay to look or get your transcript. I can view mine transcript online anytime. I have never been asked to pay for a transcript from off of the IRS website.

Technically they should be processing/updating today as the IRS themselves says mid Feb. You can’t get any more MID February than the 14th;) I have no problem waiting for an update Sat. But they always get technical when they require stuff of us…

Well this has all been very informative. I filed and was accepted 2/11/18. I use an Ip pin, everything is still the same as last year. Last year I got my refund back in 8 days. I’ve got the one bar so far and the tax topic 152. I just want to know should I see an update on the 17th as well since I filed on the 11th?

While we’re all waiting I figured I would ask: Apparently my wife and I were exempt from the shared contribution “tax” for not having healthcare for the last few years. When I file amended returns, can I do multiples at a time, or do I have to do them one at a time? Anyone know how far back the exemption goes? We’re looking at several thousands we’ve paid in while meeting multiple exemption criteria. Just didn’t know the form existed to waive the $1,000+ in annual penalties.

They are just reminding everyone. That info was there long before w2’s even started going out lol.

@9966: It didn’t update today. That was what I thought I said. My point was that, even last year, I got my refund before WMR ever updated passed the PATH message we all have right now.

WMR is helpful, but your refund date isn’t dependent ON WMR’s update.

If you go to irs.gov and look at the news you will see an article (dated yesterday) avoid the tax rush and in the 6th paragraph is the information for the 17th update for the majority of early filers

No WMR update for me as of today, but then again I wasn’t really expecting one. Last year I received my refund 4 days before WMR updated from PATH – Topic 152 – No Amount. I’d say many of us are in that 7-day countdown at this point. Can’t wait to take my kids shopping for new clothes! Man, do they grow like weeds!

@skittlez I think I read somewhere else that ssa didnt update your income but your return is completed?? My situation f+a 2/2 updated to PATH 2/10 ssa does not have my income for this year reported and some years are wrong. Btw thanks for answering my first question. Its a lot of questions and comments on here lol.

Sorry my last comment should’ve said @Harley not sandi.

my File Date was 1/22 and accepted same day

Cycle Date 20180402 (Not exactly sure what this means)

Processing Date 2/12/2018 (no update since Path Message on 1/29/2018)

My Direct Deposit day Last year says 2/22/2017 (processing date was 2/13/17)

I feel like I saw something at least a week beforehand with a DDD. Honestly though, I can’t remember.

All the Feb 27th stuff is just an irs security blanket. They gave the Same date last year and people started seeing money as early as the 20th (maybe earlier). I had mine on the 22nd (with a ddd of the 22nd).

The IRS can start sending $ out as soon as tomorrow. But most of us will probably have our deposits on the 21/22nd.

And @Sandi that irs message didn’t pop up yesterday, it’s been on the irs site since at least december.

So question for those of you today – Turbo Tax says that I should have a DDD of 2/14 buuuuut yeah no nothing is there. Does that mean they got it and are processing the fees on their end? When I got on WMR I have nothing just the path act no bars or anything.
I have already received my state.

    Filed 1/22
    Accepted 1/23
    Path 1/27

Still path. I hope it’s not the 27 of February.

This may have been asked and answered already but there are way too many posts to backtrack……

My direct deposit goes into my account 2-3 days earlier than other employees at my job (American Express Bluebird card) so if they are stating most people should see funds by 27th, what day are we thinking they are releasing to banks? I’m hoping to get mine in account early next week!! Fingers and toes crossed LOL

-Filed 1/31 and accepted the same day.
    -Claimed both credits.
-WMR has had PATH msg since 2/2
-Cycle: 20180505 I think I’m a weekly update so I’m hoping to see something by saturday. Also, my tax transcript has been available so my fingers are crossed.

I’m hoping we all see a change by saturday.

Some good information on here. I’ve been checking this forum daily so I figured I might as well join.

    I didn’t know that!

@nikesha November because it could be blank. But if you filed before last week it is possible that you are processed so I hope you receive a complete transcript. Good luck. Wishing for ddd for all of us here on the 17th!

    Tall Drink

Good morning and Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

    One day closer….

I’ve just been lurking and cracking up at comments and some people’s ignorance. Jeeeeez :)

@Amb maybe you need to call because the tax advocate department stated that no matter what the situation is they are taking NO CASES for hardships until after the 27th which is when Pathers are scheduled to receive their refunds. Maybe you should read previous posts before you bring in last year’s information. And furthermore you need to read your own reply that says you apologize for bringing information or whatever but it was not for the immediate insults.
And nobody will know if they need to file for a hardship before the 17th when we see the update that we already knew about before you thought you were correcting Lance who stated the exact same thing.

Just a quick question, if you can order your return transcript by mail, does that mean you’re done processing?

This is from the IRS website. Earliest we will see funds in our bank account is Feb 27.

The IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days, although some require additional time. You should only call if it has been:
•21 days or more since you e-filed
•6 weeks or more since you mailed your return, or when
•”Where’s My Refund” tells you to contact the IRS

Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit may experience a refund hold. According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue these refunds before mid-February. The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2018, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.

@sandi I went to IRS.gov and looked up the path act u can find it right on the irs site I just copied and pasted

Weekly updates cycle code ends in 05 we should see 846 Refund issued on Friday. If you filed after 2/5 hopeful for Sat but it will most likely be next Saturday

@skittlez My apology was not for you. It was Incase Lance felt as insulted as you did, that was not my intention. Tax advocates can help NOW for the people who need it facing eviction , loss of electric , foreclosure etc. If you have not gotten a notice or ask to ID verify then apparently you do not. You are waiting like the rest of us for a Saturday or daily update after 2/15. I hope all the negative people get there money ASAP. The people I work with typically don’t get refunds they owe. Tax resolutions. So yes I’m waiting for my money but I’m definitely not clueless.

The irs released the information yesterday.

Im just wondering where you are getting your information?

Where’s My Refund? ‎on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app will be updated February 17 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where’s My Refund? or through their software packages until then

It’s possible that he looked at a credit to see what it was and went through some prompts, saw it wasn’t applicable to him, but didn’t delete/refresh it before e-filing… it wouldn’t have likely given him a credit but it’s possible that, if he went through an online site, a form (blank) might have been submitted.

My friend filed 1/22, accepted same day. He’s been on the path message since then. He filed with the same dependants this year, same address. The only thing that was different is that he had a different w2 this year from changing jobs. He received a letter this morning from the IRS saying he’s being audited & needs to provide supporting documents for the eic & actc & the American opportunity credit. I understand double checking the eic & actc. But he’s not a student & I reviewed his return & he didn’t claim the American opportunity credit. So I’m extremely confused & not sure what to tell him. Has this happened to anyone else? He’s calling tomorrow, but I’ve never seen this before.

    Twice in a row…

    @rellyohboy lol Jinx!!! hahaha

    Damn we on point!!!

    150 Tax return filed
    766 Credit to your account
    806 W-2 or 1099 withholding

Those are not the “Uh-oh” codes, so you should be good for now

    150 – return filed
766 – Credit to your account
806 – Credit for your withheld taxes

@amb You swear to apologize for bringing info but of course you apologized to the wrong person so evidently I have you figured right. We know what an advocate can do but somebody is paying you & you don’t even know that an advocate can’t help us at this time??? They’re paying you & you you’re here just like us trying to “figure things out” because you’re just as lost as the rest of us… so that you can look like a hero to your clients when you go back to them & repeat what LANCE said or whomever else you want to call out but yet repeat the same information that he already gave previously. Yet after you insult him you wanna apologize for “informing those who don’t know”. Again have several seats. I’m not an advocate for anyone you owe an apology to the “right person” for what you “actually” did.

Path message, ordered transcripts and received today with codes 150,766 and 806. Does anyone know what this means?

    Just updating as well
    F+A Feb 2
    Updated to PATH feb 10
Praying for a deposit by Feb 22

Its getting close guys!! Hang in there!!!

    Just updating:

    1/26: Filed
    1/29: Accepted
2/1: WMR Updated with 1 bar and TT152; Acct transcript available but blank, no return transcript
2/9: No update on WMR; Return transcript available, Acct transcript available and filled but no 846 code, of course.
2/10: WMR Updated to no bars, no refund amount, PATH msg, and TT152 still on there

Now just waiting for my next update on my transcript this Thurs or Fri (I am a weekly) if I will get a 846 and for my WMR to update this Saturday, if I have any changes to my acct transcript. So far it’s going smoothly.

My tax dates filed 1/28 accepted 1/29 cycle code 20180505 expecting an update Saturday. Still sitting on Path like the rest of us who claimed children and EIC. Prayers for everyone who needs there money!
