HI,
Filed 02/07 – Accepted 02/07
Turbo Tax – No fees
WMR is at 1 bar
EIC (Dependant over the age of 18)
Head of Household
To be deposited to my Netspend card (had it for over 8 years now, always receive $ early)I have my transcripts from last year and my cycle, as I filed 02/08, was: 20180705
Just looked at my posts from last year:
I filed and was accepted on 02/08 last year. I got my DD in my Netspend account on 2/16. On 2/17, WMR finally updated to 2 bars and gave me a DDD of 2/22.
I expect to get my DD this year on 02/14 – maybe sooner.
Obviously, WMR is not always correct, it is just an estimation, at best but don’t count on it and for me, for over 8 years of using my Netspend account, I always get my DD before WMR updates.
Good luck people!

Checked my sister’s WMR page since I filed her taxes this year, too. She is 18 so I stopped being able to claim ACTC for her last year and have only received the CTC & EIC since last year.
She doesn’t make that much money and doesn’t have any credits. I filed her return a few minutes before I filed mine: 2/7 both accepted
Hete is a screen shot of her WMR page, the lil biznitch! Lol. I kid.
WMR SITE https://imgur.com/gallery/LSIqU5eHoping for an update today or tomorrow because I am still stuck on “being processed”.

Posting on other persons 2/7 thread also.
Nothing updated for me last night. Lost bars on Friday/Saturday, still have my $ amount and info on left side. Using Netspend direct deposit with no fees (turbo tax free), like every year. My husband’s paycheck came in last night at 9pm, he would have gotten it Sunday at 9pm bit the holiday pushed it. Same account for my return so I am sure it will be another few days of waiting. I assume this Friday/Saturday it will drop. How about everyone else who filed 2/7?People are saying that some who are grtting their money are lying but I believe they’re not lying because I have been a quick DD before and people called me a liar. This year. some people just aren’t seeing theirs as quickly as others. One year I filed on 2/8 and got my DD four days later with EIC & ACTC. It was before PATH was introduced. Just be nice to each other – we are all just anxious to get what we are owed.

Hoping for a deposit tmrw since Netspend releases funds immediately. Still lost bars, all info still on the left side and of course transcripts are a no go with no credit cards or loans. -

Also for some reason my student loan #s and auto loan info is not being recognized in IRS system. I have not received my transcripts I ordered last week and when I tried today there was a prosessing error message code 112. Whelp!

Great! Same here.
I have a feeling most 2/7 filers will be seeing deposits next week. I have my transcripts from last year and I filed on 2/8 then and got my return on 2/16. Unfortunately, I don’t have credit cards or loans so I can only order by mail, which I am about to do now.
Seriously, I am thinking next week, Friday probably, if not at the latest. I will keep y’all informed. Anyonr using Netspend will of course see their deposit before WMR even updates, in my experience.

@londyn38 (make an account ans it will notify you of tags)
Did you have Earned Income Credit or any other credits?
And you filed the same day?
Also, I am in Texas, not sure if it matters but we don’t pay state taxes. Also not sure if that makes a difference in speedy returns. -

@blahblah (if you all create an account on this website, it will actually link you when we put @soandso otherwise we who respond to people just have to hope you come back and read the thread – just a suggestion)
There was one year that my husband and I filed joint, with my dependent (my sister, who I have claimed every year since I’ve been working, as my mother and stepfather, well, weren’t very responsible) and we were expecting like over $5k.
we were surprised when the direct deposit hit and was around half that, $2400-2500.
we never checked into it but we assumed and are pretty positive that it was because he owed (back) child support.
long story (sort of) short: before we met he was in the army, met a chick who was also in the army who had a son (who he fell in love with) from a previous marriage. they married, had a baby girl and she was called to Hawaii. he stayed here in Texas watching both children and found out she was cheating in Hawaii. he tried to make it work when she came home but she basically just used him (just like the first marriage, he found out). one night, her parents came over to “pick up the kids for a visit”. his wife and her parents took the kids to Oklahoma (where she was from). that was the last time my husband saw his daughter and step-son. his daughter was just a baby and is now about 13 or 14. heartbreaking. ex-wife won’t even allow them to speak and has tried countless times to allow her new partners adopt her. she’s already been through two other men, now married again. she is evil.as far as the child support goes, he was never brought to court to settle any of it. Oklahoma seems to do things a lot differently than Texas does.
Back to that tax refund. we’re pretty sure it went to child support. about $2500 of it. I was pissed because the majority of that refund came from me working and taking care of my little sister.we do not file together anymore since then, and Oklahoma courts garnish his paychecks so he is paying on his child support.
Sorry so long, @blahblah. it was just an example of what the government can and will do. I feel like if you are on a payment plan and have been making good on those payments, you may be just fine. maybe try googling it? LOL :)
my husband owes $800 from last year which I plan to pay when I get my return and this year he owes again. I guess he is claiming ‘0’ or something when he fills out his W4’s because he is hourly. it doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t know how that works though. I always put ‘1’ on my W4’s and am always hourly.

@dollski
I feel for you ive been there. I was due for my review in a week which meant a big raise and I woke up at my normal time to leave for work and normally would arrive 5 minutes early. This particular day I awoke to a blizzard and left for work early knowing it was going to be slow going. I ended up being ten minutes late and the first thing I heard when I walked in the door was “Stan! Your fired dont bother clocking in just dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
I was devasted and hurt to say the least. I didnt get a warning or anything just a goodbye and basically a gtfo.

@Blabblah
I forgot about what you posted. To add to my post. After waiting 4 months for my refund…. I got a notice stating I owe $11k.
It was because my TA misinforming me to do a amended return and my account was flagged for an amount discrepancy. I would no longer owe because I was told to send in documents to prove my residence and kids school records. The Income discrepancy was resolved when I amended. As for now I was advised I would not have any portion offset for that balance I should have NEVER owed because when I called the number on my notice a rep told me to file with form 8862 attached.

@blahblah
They take your refund even if you’re in a payment plan
-
February 12, 2019 at 3:15 pm #4267082Blahblah
@TMS No I have not gotten any answer on whether my refund will go to pay a past tax obligation if I’m under a payment plan. I guess I’ll just wait and see. If I do get a refund deposited it will be a pleasant surprise.

February 11, 2019 at 2:58 pm #4265598Blahblah
I filed on 2/7 with TurboTax. Accepted same day.
I’ve checked the IRS status site and it still does not show an approval, only received.
I’m concerned because I owe a past tax obligation. I am supposed to be making monthly payments on it. the payment plan started in late 2018. So will the IRS just take my whole refund to pay that? Or will they let me keep making payments?

no update to wmr site. I know it is irresponsible to depend on your tax return money but this year we are because I lost my job a few weeks ago.
It is rough out there looking for a suitable job (income wise). our budget was based on my $15/hr job. we were able to borrow $8,000 from my in-laws to purchase a new (used) car, as both of ours went to sh*t a few months ago. the day after we purchased the car, I got fired. I understand being on time is important, but clocking in 1 to 3 minutes after 8am a few times is kind of irrational.
this company was small, needed a receptionist at the end of October, full time and paid well. although, they did not offer medical benefits, I took it.
[I had just been let go after about 2 years at a doctors office – completely different reason – basically, management had no idea what she was doing and was the doctor’s wife, she thrust into the position I assume because she was tired of being a housewife and her daughters both were about to leave for college. I swear she had it out for me. her husband even condescended previous employees saying ‘she wouldn’t behave like this, she is an ivy league professional]
back to the small business. they were a fire extinguisher repair and sale shop. started in 1987. the receptionist position was open because their previous one had a stroke and was not able to come back to work. the lady had been there 18 years. this business was desperate for someone computer & network savvy because they were running their database on an ancient program – microsoft access with a build called Alpha Five on top of it. the only person who knew how to program it and work it was… you guessed it… the lady who had a stroke! insane! you put your entire business in the hands of one person!!
anyways, they really liked me but they had a stick up their ass about the time clock and hours being EXACT. it was across town for me, I wasn’t used to getting caught by traffic so yes, I clocked in a few minutes late a few times and bam – fired.I know more than likely nobody will read that and I will end up erasing it.
::sigh:: I need friends. -
