I actually updated on WMR from take action 1541 to “we have recieved your refund and it is being processed.” Maybe there’s a glimmer of hope! I have no bars, but it has my refund amount on the side now. No update on transcripts yet, but maybe I’ll get it fixed soon. I NEED this refund bad. Someone say a prayer, agh!

Guys my transcript came in the mail today. Ive never seen one before so I dont have all the inside info you guys do. Can you help me decipher please?

Been on take action code 1541 since I started checking wmr website which is a week & a half ago.
Today 3/1 I got an update
Finally got my bars back with the message ” we have received your tax return & it is being processed”.
Haven’t checked transcript yet hopefully my ddd is 3/6

My TA’s voicemail says they’re not taking any calls right now and to leave message with Tax payer ID. Maybe they are at lunch…. ill try later >:/ <<<< (angry face)

So I checked Republic bank for refund status. They have release my state and all my fees have been taken out of it. So I’m holding this to home I’ll see federal soon ish. The fact they released my state means it is actually processing now.

TA = Tax advocate. Don’t try the national one, you’ll never get through, try your local TA office.

I just took a break and tried too. I used the number provided with the take action notice and ext 312, put in my info and got the automated message that my return has been received and is being processed. No option to talk with a live person. Just press 9 to repeat the message and then they hang up on you 😂

I just tried calling the IRS. The automated system doesn’t give you an option to speak to a live advisor!!!!!

im skeptical but i do believe most of us were in the same cycle with same 2/25 processing this update would include everyone process since then. most just change from 1541 some got DDD on transcripts. i do believe its the beginning of them processing the 45 day reviewers.

Called local TA and she told me she can see my refund will be released 3/6. 😊😊

Check my refund showed “Ref# 1541” i called and the rep wouldnt provide any reasoning, she said 21 days after March 2nd i’ll get my deposit.3 weeks later….. Now i check it and there is no bar and no take action. Just one sentence “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” no code, nothing. But it has finally updated to something else. What does this mean??? How much longer??????

If anyone decides to call the IRS and ask for status, please post your update. I’d love to hear if we are ACTUALLY processing or still in 45 day review purgatory… I’m a little suspicious and hoping they didnt just change the message on WMR to stop the incoming phone calls.

Do transcripts update all day or only early morning? I changed from 1541 to processing on WMR but no 571 or 846 code on transcripts yet.

I shedded a small batch of tears when i seen that 1541 was no longer there on WMR this morning!! I’ve been doing so much research on this subject it’s ridiculous!! I’m so glad everybody is seeing some type of movement..i PRAY WE GET OUR DDD SOON!!!

Mine is the same guys! I checked at 4:30 AM and the take action message was gone and now says “we’ve received your refund and its being processed” Halleluja 😊 I can’t see my transcripts and I usually update weekly. Whats the chance I get a DD tomorrow?

Filed with Turbotax FREE back in January, Accepted 1/28, Take Action/1541/ext 312 on 2/15, Called IRS and they said review and 3920392032 other things that went into and out the other ear, said I was getting a TA and they would call within 5 business days on Monday, Today changed to processing with full refund amount back on left.

Holy freaking CRAP!!! I came on here this morning first to see if there were any updates and when I saw you guys were all updating – took a peek at WMR. I updated too!!! My refund amount is back and it says we received your return and it is being processed!!!! Best of all – – the bright orange TAKE ACTION is gone!!! There is hope!! Praying for everyone that we get a DDD over the next few days!!!

As of this morning, and I am weekly so any change was a surprise, but as of now, 1541 is gone, refund amount is back, and it says we have received your return and it is being processed. No DDD yet but this seems like a glimmer of hope to me.

@CM I better update this weekend to a deposit since IRS has my correct wages now, I was told I was put on 1541 bc the difference in wages IRS saw vs what I reported. Finally SSA.gov this past Friday in the afternoon with the correct amount and I even called irs to make sure they had the same thing reported. So fingers crossed for tomorrow nights update.

I finally went and got a taxpayer advocate today after the IRS told me I’m on a 45 day review starting March 4th after talking to them two other times and they said totally different things.
Turns out I fat fingered and put down that I made 2k more on my W2 than I actually did. They said I would need to file an amended return, but turbo tax doesn’t have the form for it yet until 3/7.
Don’t wait on the IRS, call an advocate and figure out what’s wrong. Bummer I’ll have about 8-9 weeks of a wait for them to process my amended return, but its better than 4 months or more.
Filed and accepted 1/28, never updated to path, got Take action 1541 on WMR and code 570 on my tax transcript 2/16.
Funny part is, the advocate said the mistake was in the IRS’ favor. Now they will owe me more in a refund because I made less than reported which means I paid even more tax than I should have. They would have saved money had they not caught it lol.

OK, I am going to try a different approach, bear with me for one minute. I live in the poorest county in the poorest state in the United States. I live in a very rural community that has almost no social services available and has poverty that is on a similar level to what you see in a third world country. We are just about as hard hit by the opioid and methamphetamine epidemics as any area could possibly be. Personally, I am a service connected disabled combat veteran and I live over 100 miles from the VA hospital. I am a father of 3 young children, one of whom is severely handicapped, non verbal, tube fed, and wheelchair bound. I completely understand what hard times are and I need my income tax refund just about as bad as anyone does but I too, am stuck in 1541 limbo waiting to see if and when I will get it. Tomorrow is payday, I get my VA disability on the 1st of every month and it’s already spent before the deposit even goes in, on bills that are past due and that’s not even including the ones that are due this month. Yes, I have as much right to bitch and complain as anyone does but it really wouldn’t do anyone much good and most people don’t want to hear it. I went to a church this morning to get food for my family, they have a food pantry once a month and today was that day but instead of standing in line complaining about all the injustices that have caused me to be in that line, I chose to volunteer and help prepare the food for others and to deliver food to some people who needed it but were unable to pick it up. That made me realize just how lucky I am to have a vehicle, even though it is 20 years old and has over 200k miles on it, I am better off than many. I also spent several hours yesterday unloading the food truck that delivered the food to the church. I didn’t do this because I am some kind of saint, I did it because even though I have the freedom of speech needed to complain, it doesn’t really help anything but by helping where I can with what I can, no matter how much or how little, I am helping fix the problems in my little corner of the world. While I was doing it, I saw coal miners who don’t have a job or a chance at getting one. I saw loggers who don’t have a job and aren’t getting one any time soon. I saw grandparents who are too old to care for themselves but are raising grandkids who’s parents are dead from overdoses or in jail on drug charges and i realize that yes, the government owes me my tax refund and yes, life would be better if I had it but you know what? I don’t have it all that bad, so why complain? When I was driving home, I looked at the beautiful mountains all around me, and the dilapidated, run down homes that advertise our areas poverty like a $2 breakfast buffet at an all night truckstop and I realized that yes, we are poor but there wasn’t a single IED (roadside bomb) around me and I didn’t have to worry about one, like in so may other countries, so why complain? Yes, I could complain and yes, they would be legitimate complaints, but I am blessed to live in the greatest nation on earth even if I will never realize the full capacity of the American Dream and not only have many, many Americans given their lives to give me that, there are millions of people around the world who would give their own lives just to give their children a chance to live here. Yes, our country has alot of issues and yes, the government is usually part of those problems if not the actual cause of them but dammit, this is the United States and if we all just step up and do what we are able to do, no matter how much or how little that is, alot of those problems will be fixed automatically and the rest, that’s all gravy. I am stopping now, I won’t lecture anyone else on their complaints, but when you say that you hate this country while complaining about the time it takes for you to get your share of the milk and honey that make this nation great, you are showing a level of ignorance that is without rival and showing a degree of selfishness that would surely make your mothers ashamed. From a grateful veteran and a grateful American, this is just my 2 cents.

So – I have been reading again on multiple sites as well as looking up some information in the IRS manual. Based on the latest information that I have seen – – I really think they are telling people 45 days just because they want more time. It seems that most everyone is told they don’t see anything wrong, but under review for 45 days – – but keep checking because it could be any day. LOL! What I have seen on other sites is that the IRS has stated that the VERY FIRST EIC/ACTC refunds would start to be released on 2/27. That would be the EARLIEST day that you would receive anything. I know that my son was just stuck on processing and filed 1/22 and accepted same day – just got updated for 3/4. There was not anything on his until then. I believe that for whatever reason – glitch or by design – we got a code 1541 which simply means a hold so that the refund cannot be released.

I am hoping that we see movement this weekend. I am not calling because I also believe that repeated calling and inquiries tag you for farther review. Yes, I need my money too but what I DON’T need is to have this last forever and I truly believe that some are calling attention to themselves by calling every day. Just my opinion.

So like everyone else on here I have the “take action” 1541 issue. I e filed Jan 14th and taxes were accepted the same day. It showed processing then switched to the 1541. I spoke with someone at the IRS today and she said it didn’t look like anything was wrong with my taxes that March 11th I would be mailed an CP05 Letter and that I should allow an additional 45 days for my taxes to be reviewed… seems like there are a lot of people gwtting this response from them :( ….. here’s to 45 more days of waiting

Had 1541 take action. Was updated to a ddd of 2/28 last Saturday. Deposit just hit my bank account. There is hope if you have had the take action 1541 message.

Hey guys.. I have been 1541 since I was accepted. I called IRS she told me I was under review for wages and credit eligibility and to call back in 45 days if I haven’t gotten my refund. My question is does this clear up on it’s own? Will I automatically get my refund once they verify my wages (like a real person) or am I dealing with a computer system that is going to just keep pushing me aside? I don’t get how this works

Me too! It’s been a long ride.

I thought this forum was to talk about our problems with this tax season, not toa argue with others. What people to realize is that the money people get around tax time is well deserved money for working parents and caregivers. Were you aware that the government provides subsidies to businesses that don’t have the means to compete with larger businesses so they have a fighting chance in the business world? Of course not, everyone assumes that people are lazy. We work paycheck to paycheck all year long and this money helps us pay bills and catch up on life and provide things for our children. We pay taxes like everyone else and we all have the right to be upset about being told BS just to not call anymore. I know that this is a hard tax time for many because of the shut down, for both the ones processing the returns and those waiting. I know that we will be fine soon, so please everyone keep that little bit faith.

spoke to irs today after a 2 hour hold she looked into my account explained I had been stuck at 1541 since 2/9 and she said a CP05 letter will be sent out on 3/4 but no take action so nothing to be done on my part it’s just a 45 day review and if I dont hear anything or get another document request by 4/11 to call back. I put in a request for an advocate this is crap! and my employer took almost 800.00 too much social security tax so have to fill out 843 form to request refund on that as well I hate this tax season

I have been watching different forums for awhile now. I have been stuck on 1541 since 01/29. Called IRS twice and was told to wait until the 27th(still no ddd) and then was told I had a hold. As of today, still no updates. I am waiting for a tax advocate to reach out. I’m praying that something changes in the next couple of days. This is the first time I ever had any issues and I have used TT AND HRB since I started filing. I’ll update again tomorrow with any changes.

Im hoping it will be before then. Last year my codes were 570 the issued a letter cp05 on my processing date said the 45 day review would be up 5/10/18 code 971 had to get a TA because I heard nothing didn’t receive my refund until 6/20/18

@kyretica07 for what it’s worth, we’ve been filing IS for 3 years and the longest we’ve waited is 7 weeks.

Called again this morning hoping to get some more info since it was past the processing date!! The lady got a little fiesty when she saw on account I was told last week it could be 45 days from yesterday. I was in review. I could do nothing but wait and see if they send me a letter or give me an update. If nothing before 4/11 call back

No updates still 1541/570. I called a tax advocate friday still havent heard anything from them either

Still no movement. Spoke with an agent and was told my return was under review with the IVO (Integrity Verification Operations) and it could take up to 45 days. I did some snooping and called that department and was advised they didn’t see that my account was under review. I called the IRS back and was told that no letters have been generated on my account and they are just behind in processing. At this point I really don’t know who or what to believe. I do know however that it seems to be a bunch of bull**** going on this tax season.

No updates on WMR, still 1541. Talked to someone on the 1800 number ext 312 on my take action page on WMR site. I already knew this was the case for me, though – my injured spouse is waiting to get reconciled. The freeze was there to prevent my offset. My 1040 is completed and I was given the 11 week spiel by the rep I talked to. I have done some snooping around and saw that this is typical for IS filers. Hopefully, I get early DDD like some who are getting it on the 27th!

They also said it most likely won’t take the full or even majority of the 45 days to get my return. He said they could be reviewing it now..but still I can’t do anything but sit and be patient.

Stephanie, I’m in the same boat as you, my 2nd employer finally updated my wages the exact same day. I know the IRS has the correct wages now because I asked the worker how much it said. But yeah what they told me is that they sent out a notice stating that my return was chosen for random review, there’s not much I can do but sit and wait.

I’m a weekly updater with cycle code ending in 0705, I hope I’ll update this weekend since they have the correct wages now.

I filed and was accepted on 1/29, with eic and act. I had 1 bar and it’s being processed w tt 152 until 2/16, and then I got 1541. I spoke with an agent on 2/19 and he said I was under review, because they hadn’t recieved my W-2. He said they haven’t sent out any notices to request additional info, which is a good sign. I looked on my SSA and he was right no 2018 wages had been reported, until Friday 2/22 SSA was reporting my 2018 wages. So my question is do you think I will update soon with a ddd or will i be under review for 45 days? I’m so stressed because I’ve never been under review before.

Filed and accepted 1/28. Been on 1541 since 1/30. Claiming EITC, CTC and ACTC. I haven’t spoken to the IRS because I don’t have a phone right now. But haven’t received a letter yet.
