UPDATE: the wait is over. Filed and accepted 1/26 both credits, first it was the typical message until it updated a week ago with the path message on the 15th overnight it updated to that “we are processing” message then last night it updated with a DDD of 2/23.

Mine seems to always update on Wednesday night. Last time this message appeared for the state refund and it took about 10 days to get my refund so I am assuming that I will most likely get it by the 27th.
EIC and ACTC credits claimed.

Finally something changed:
The PATH message is gone and the refund amount is back and I have a message:
We have received your tax return and it is being processed.

1/26 filer here! On Friday Feb. 10th I was able to order both transcripts and had code 846 next to Refund Amount. On Saturday Feb 11 checked WMR and had a DDD of 2/15. Yesterday my refund had been sent to SBTPG and this morning woke up to my refund in my bank account. As always I Got My Refund and this community thank you for being a sounding board for those of us who need to vent or find out the “real” information/ answers about our refunds. Good luck to you all it will get better.

Transcript code is 20170505 with a processing date of 2/20.

I’m still here too. Updated to PATH on 2/4- and been stuck there since. Hoping for a DDD by Saturday morning, but I’m not holding my breath.

I filed 1/26 i have eic and actc no progress wmr says its processing.. can only get blank act trans. cant get any others and its with my old address , i called an agent today they said theres a 7-14 day hold on my return but they cant tell why so maybe its because of path. i had to id verify last year what are the odds i will have to id verify again, i asked her she said it didnt look like that so i dk what to do rent is 13 days late…

So frustrated with cycle codes and transcripts…

The cycle codes mean NOTHING if you have the EIC or ACTC.

Just got my transcripts in the mail a few moments ago. My cycle is 20170505 which would give me a date of 2/2 (DDD of 2/8).

The transcripts list 2/20/2017 as the “processing date” and leaves me with a prospective DDD of 2/24

Not a happy camper to wait a month for money due to me. Filed/accepted 1/26

Yeah I’m just hoping for 846 stinks i can’t see them online

When should we expect WMR to update if we are able to order our transcripts as of this morning?

After not being able to order transcripts yesterday, mind you with PATH credits, I was able too this morning. I cannot view my transcripts so I hope that this at least a step in the right direction.

I’ve got transcripts this morning, cycle 20170605. WMR still 1 bar.

I filed and was accepted on 1/26. No EIC or ACTC. I did buy a house which changed my address, could that be a hold up?

Also.. as of yesterday I could get access to the “order transcripts by mail” under my old address, as of today I cannot with either address.. is this progress?

I’ve always been on a weekly cycle. Was deeply saddened to see no wmr movement this morning and am still unable to order transcripts.

While I am a PATH filer this year, I have not gotten a PATH message yet…. still lists TT 152, but the message above have changed to say that most refunds are issued within 21 days unless you had special circumstances

Same, i filed 1/26 accepted same day, was able to order account transcripts on the 4th. I dont think i got done processing for the 8th cut off. So I’m hoping for the 15th which would be my 20th day

Filed 1/26/17, No Bars, No refund $ , Topic 152. I called the IRS this morning to ask if I need to verify my ID, they said there was nothing in the file about that and everything looked normal it was just processing. I don’t know if they were just putting me off, but I have seen numerous places that if there is something (ID verify, or a review) they will tell you before 21 days. I got my refund on a Wednesday last year and had the 0505 cycle number last year so maybe its that daily weekly thing I don’t really understand. Trying not to freak out, but its not working.

I was accepted on 1/26 but I am still on one bar this morning.

I was able to order an account transcript for 2016 last week but still not return transcript available.

Any ideas on what gives? Grrr…

I just checked this morning and still nothing. I did check my return transcript from last year and it ended in 05 and I received my deposit on a Wednesday. The only difference is that last year, I received my refund earlier on 2/3/16. I guess I’ll have to hold tight until this weekend. I still can’t order the return transcript.

Filed 1/25 accepted 1/26. WMR stil. Showing 1 bar. I was able to access my transcripts today and my cycle date is 20170602. WMR Still at 1 bar with tt 152 just checked after 9:00 pacific time 😐

I’m so fed up with this process! I have been checking periodically throughout the day for my return transcript and nothing! I swear if one more person who has a deposit date tomorrow ask if we think their money is coming earlier, I’m going to close my door at work and scream! The majority of us are still trying to get a DDD and people who have been approved with a DDD are asking if their funds may come early….I swear😡

I can see my return transcript and from what others have told me on here it doesn’t mean shit! 20170505 processing date is feb 20

I saw everyone who filed on 1/26/17 was able to order their return transcript so I just gave it a try and no luck. I’m so freaking over this…uggghhhh. I guess I’m a weekly!!!

actual deposit recieved at midnight last night ddd was 2/8

Yep for sure, it was strange because they actually gave me a date and it never came, blew my mind. But i studied that iRS manual like it was my life so i have a REAL good understanding about how the transcripts and cycles work because of it. I believe if i would have filed 25th instead of 26th i would have updated with the DDD of the 8th but since i filed on the day the weeklies normally process. i was not processed until the week after.

Yeah i think i will be alright *knock on wood*. The reason why it happened that one year was because i had a offset from owed unemployment that they didn’t catch before they approved the deposit. So they stopped the refund right before it was sent and i had to be reprocessed, also had to verify my id because of it just to make sure i guess.

Yeah I’m a weekly, my account became available that saturday, i believe i didn’t finish processing in the allotted amount of time, therefore account became available and then this coming friday we should process

Bar is there, no credits besides normal CTC. I did have a new dependent and adress change but i did the id verify thing 3 years ago, Thats when they gave me a DD date but the deposit never came.. and got stuck with the 1121 OUCH

@Lauren….I received the same email from TurboTax and I didn’t qualify for EITC or ACTC. I only received CTC so I don’t know why TurboTax sent me an email that said my refund could be held up because of PATH and I may not receive it until the 2/27.

So Turbo Tax just sent me an email saying that I will not receive my refund until the week of the 26th. I have seen that some people with both credits are getting a DDD but just updating on what I was given.

It seems like the majority of the people who filed on 1/26/17 are stuck at one bar. This really sucks. I’m super frustrated. I had my money by this time last year. It came on 2/2/16 and I filed on 1/19/16. It’s like you don’t want to file too early because you may have to wait and if you file a few days after opening, you still have to wait.

Ohhh I use The Chime card which release $$ as soon as they receive them so I got my 2/8 deposit today :)

Apparently according to everyone that is a good thing so yay. A couple more weeks I guess.

I checked WMR this morning and it is not showing ANY info. It looks like I never even filed. Yesterday I had 1 bar and said it was being processed. I was able to order the account transscript but not the return. I have never had this happen. WMR keeps saying I put in the wrong info which I know is correct

Bars disappeared and new PATH message appeared this morning. From what I read from another blog, a helpful IRS customer service rep advised another reader that this was a good sign and meant that your refund is approved and just awaiting the magic date of Feb 15 for personalized updates. It means its almost here :-) Unfortunately, I think any weekly updaters are probably going to have to wait until the week of the 27th for their funds as the weekend following the 15th is a holiday weekend.

For all the Michigan state filers – I have had absolutely no progress online but have read several posts that state they received their refunds before the information was available on the website. Some say Michigan is always 2 weeks; it has been my experience that Michigan has always taken a long time – but not as long as some (up to 90 day waits in some states).

I was just able to order my account transcript and got excited BUT then when I tried to order my return transcript, I got the message it’s not available. Uggghhhh….no movement on WMR and no DDD!!

@Carrie101….I definitely think those of us who filed 1/26/17 are stuck in limbo. I just tried to order my Return and Account transcript via mail with no luck. I tried the other day to view online but my cell phone is in my maiden name so it wouldn’t allow me to view them. This is so crazy. I don’t have EITC or ACTC. I’m assuming that since I can’t order the transcripts today, I can forget about an update in the morning. This is very frustration especially since people who filed after me have DDD already!!

FUNNY: Logged in my bank this morning and saw a pending ACH BUUUUT it was just my pay from work LOL. I was expecting it to be at least my state because it’s been 6 days and they have 12 days to deposit it. So I guess I should see it next week. Maybe. Last year it took like a month.
Logged into WMR and still no movement what so ever. I didn’t really see movement last year until I got a deposit anyway so…meh.

You can get irs transcript updates through Saturday Morning. Tuesday-Saturday the system updates.

Did anyone file with esmart tax? I filed on the 26 and it still says submitted and not accepted. I live chatted with esmart and they said its just sitting there and they cant push ot through.

@ Kensy I don’t have my husband on my BofA account and every year our refund gets DD into my account. So I believe they do allow it.

well im gonna go out on a limb and say if we dont make the 2/3 ddd then we might get a ddd for the 8th, it seems wednesdays and fridays are the “paydays”

take it with a grain of salt though some 1/23-1/27 filers already have a ddd. in 2-3 weeks we raise hell, till then we chill and eat ramen while hoping for the best.

I’m in Kentucky and apparently they’re not even starting to process until the 15th for everyone. They must have read the federal law and supposed it was for them too. 🙄 KY is always so slow.

WMR has 1 bar and I don’t have the “PATH ACT” law thing showing like some people do but I have TT 152 and the Path Act is mentioned in that TT.
I am not expecting anything until 2/15 for federal. I will be surprised if I did. I do expect the state to come in earlier.
Last year the state went in a month late rather than just 12 days from the date of approval so that will also probably be late.

I filed 1/26 with turbo tax and accepted same day.I received EIC & ACTC. I have bars come and then disappear with it saying wait 24 hours after being accepted to check status, with it being after the 24 hours. Now I have tt152. I have read that many others have the Path act message,but curious to how long it took them to get that message. Anyone else gotten it yet?

Me too. I’ve seen some 1/26ers saying they’ve got a DDD already. I wish we all would.

Janna, don’t sweat it TT 152 comes up all the time and basically means nothing

Tax Topic 152 explains how refunds are distributed. And it’s there as a disclaimer.

It serves as one more reminder that the IRS needs 10-21 days to process a refund after receiving your tax return. It explains how to check your refund and points you Topic 303, a list of reasons why your refund processing may be delayed.

What it doesn’t do is serve as a magical indicator that you will wake up to a direct deposit date. In fact, you may see the topic appear and disappear several times during the time that it takes them to process your return. It also doesn’t mean your refund will be delayed.
