So from my understanding it was not a requirement this year!??? So I’m confused on why it’s showing up on anyone return at this point!!! I filed TT as well and it wasn’t there either. No way to revisit for most if they already submitted it. There is another forum with this information and more in depth. But from IRS it was stated it’s no longer a requirement.

I don’t get it! When I filled out my forms online, the “option” (I was confused why they had it as optional, but nevertheless), was there for me. I used TT. Quite a few people are now being told it isn’t “optional” apparently. And that the option on TT wasn’t even made available to them. What kind of tom foolery is this?!

I got the same thing a few min ago, there is another post about it on this site as well. I filed with TurboTax, they said nothing was wrong but to revisit my return on the 20th and the questions will be available.

According to Vicki from TurboTax chat the IRS “just” sent them updated questions and that is why it was rejected. I wouldn’t worry, just revisit it or ask whoever you filed with.
