they issued me a 50 dollar credit for the issue. The lady said this was the first she had heard about it . She tried to reach out to her manager but they were not available . I will check back tomorrow to see if the updated interview questions are on there

Honestly, TT owes us a refund for this glitch. This will be holding up my CA State refund.
i hope enough people call in and complain and demand compensation. -

I filed with TT and just got the same error. Sure glad I had the mind to cut/paste/google and found this thread. The internet is amazing. I was thrown by the Feb. 20 update refile and went through the process like some of you and filed again following the prompts. Maybe it will be rejected again and with the update on the 20th, I will go through the process for a 3rd time.

Sure am glad that I googled this and found out that you people are having the same problem with TurboTax. Based on Dustin’s update it sounds like we should wait and refile on Feb. 20th, correct?

I received the same exact error when it was rejected (FDI_8962_DepLine2BEmpty_ErrorHold). If you look on 8962 Line 2B, you’ll see that it isn’t checked.
I also noticed that it didn’t fill out my 1095-A with all the information required (like who was covered) so there are some big issues with how the 1095-A and the 8962 related forms are populating.
It looks like it’s truly an error on TurboTax’s end.

Thank you for posting this! I just submitted a second time thinking it was a glitch so hopefully it doesn’t cause any further problem when I get rejected again. I guess I will wait to see what happens on the 20th.

Do you have to wait till after the update on the 20th to refile? I’m going through the same thing.

UPDATE:
Just got off the phone with TurboTax. They said this is a problem on their end and the update on Feb. 20 will solve the issue. The error does not mean there is anything wrong with one’s tax return; apparently, the IRS did not send the finalized documentation to Turbo Tax in time thus the update. If you’re sweating it, don’t.

I also received the error. I went through turbotax. If you’re in my boat, when you download the forms they generate you’ll notice that the 8962 form Part 1 2b is blank. I guess it’s supposed to be 0 if your dependents are kids (that’s my case). They have a cryptic note about an update happening on Feb 20th and to return to answer the questions/new question then.
