I received this letter in the mail yesterday. It stated that I had a 1095-A on record and i needed to submit 8962 form. Did anyone else receive this letter? Does anyone know what to expect? Thanks in advance.

I got mine today. Called IRS to ask questions. Basically have to fill out the 8962 form and mail or fax back along with the 1095-A. Sounds simple enough until you see the form… Oh and agent mentioned they are “extremely back logged” and to expect a 6-8 week delay on processing once received. I have given up hope on seeing anything until April or so. :(

The 1095-A form is proof of having health insurance for 2014 and the 8962 is the form you fill out with the info from the 1095-A form. If u use an online tax preparer all you’ll have to do is fill in the 8962 form they provide using the info from your 1095-A form. If paper filing you’ll have to download the 8962 form or find a place that can provide u with one. The post office used to provide tax forms not sure if they still do.
