      @ceganly65

      Good evening everyone!

I am hoping that I am not the only one in this boat that seems to have a destination to nowhere.

      1/29 – E-Filed via TurboTax
1/29 – Federal return accepted by IRS
1/31 – IN state refund accepted.
2/8 – IN state refund DD
2/27 – Called and spoke with live IRS rep. She told me there was nothing wrong with my federal return nor have they sent out any letters. The amount expected has stayed the same. She advised I wait 45 days and call back at the end of March if no DDD or DD.

WMR- I’ve lost all bars and just have the generic: your return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. Tax topic: 152. Expected refund amount still on left hand side. The amount has never changed.

I haven’t been able to register to get my tax transcripts online, and the answer is always the same: the information you provided does not match our records. Does this mean my return for this year just hasn’t been processed yet?

**I did claim EITC and CTC. I understand that these refunds were held until at least the fifteenth, and that some returns do take longer than even that. But I have always claimed the same credits, and have never had to wait this long for a refund.

I’m basically just looking for some hope here or to at least know that I am not alone.

      Thank you for your time!

            You’re not alone my dear

Filed and accepted on the 29th
Bars gone on the 16th to TT152
Called on 22nd day and was told about 45 day review
Called yesterday and the first agent said it posted to the irs account on 3/5 and bank verification was sent to turbo tax and should process soon, also fed me a bunch if crap about how EIC was approved and blah blah blah (No idea what that means)

Second agent was rude as hell…hung up on her.

Third agent said letter was sent out and it’s now 45 days from 3/5. Confirmed Nothing about what first agent said. Im confused, need my money, they’re all liars. TA is worthless. The government will always do whatever they want to do.

Hello you are not alone. I filed and was accepted on jan 29th.it took awhile for me to get my state because i had to verify my info but eventually it came.however i had 1 bar topic 152 and tgen all of a sudden i lost all my bars and i have had no update since . i called irs and was told i was under a 45 day review feom feb 15th in which i would either receive a letter or my refund. I was totally not happy with such vague reaponse so i waited a week called back and was told eveeything was fine it was because of eic and actc so at thia point im like ok whatever. Waited another week and called back and was told im under 45 day review they have to verify what i claimed and what was actually reported to irs call back april 1st. At that point i was tired. I have never received a letter or anything so i called an advocate on monday in which i was waiting for 3 hrs just for someone to pick up. The first lady told me she didnt see anything wrong with my taxes i didnt have any red flags then i was transferred over to the intake rep who said they have to verify my income and withholdings. Gave me a case number and said i should hear from my advocate on thursday so thats where im at right now waiting for thursday to come soi can speak to an advocate to get a more def answer.

It’s not just those claiming EITC , CTC and ACTC. I don’t have either and have been held up as an early filer as well. I filed with HRB though. Accepted 1/25 and no bars and no TT. Just the “still processing” message since 2/10.

You’re not alone. I filed TurboTax 1/17, had to verify ID 2/20… No movement on WMR, no changes, no NOTHING. Get ready to wait…and wait…and wait… Call the IRS all you want:) next year, I’m going to paper file!!!!

                    F/A 1/29 using TT.
Claimed EIC and a education credit.
I don’t remember when I lost my bars. WMR is still showing “your refund is being processed “ and TT 152. I never updated to the PATH message.

I received a letter dated 2/26 stating that I was under an additional 60 day review.

I’m really frustrated and annoyed that I haven’t received my money yet and people around me have. But it isn’t up to me unfortunately.

                    Lesson learned never file early.

I filed on 2/1 and I was essentially in the same boat other than my Tax Topic 152 and one bar disappeared over two weeks ago. The regular IRS number can’t see anything wrong. I called a local tax advocate line and they saw what the issue was and set me up with a case. I’m supposed to hear from someone by Wednesday or call back. I called another number I found online that has an extension listed and that person referred my case to the error dept as well.

I’ve had 3 people mention a letter and two say there is no call for a letter.

I am over 50 years old and I have NEVER had such a horrendous tax experience before. The agents have no clue what’s going on for the most part. I attribute the problems to the fact that this current administration is completely incompetent.

                        Spooky

Yep’ I agree. In years past the IRS would approve a bunch of filings, then audit them over the summer. This year they have a mandate to review as many of the early filers claiming the EITC & CTC that they can. Same boat as you and now I got my: “ suck wind and wait 45 more days” letter in the mail. Path honestly hurts those that need the refunds the most.

@cassie most of us are in the same boat. I believe the problem is that most of us who filed as soon at the IRS started accepting returns, are ALL having the same problem. They are scrutinizing the returns of ealier EIC and CTC filers. If you file early and qualify for those credits it was like a automatic red flag.
