Just figured I would start a thread for anyone who filed on today’s date with similar tax situations so we can begin our tracking journey to the expected mid feb deposit dates!

Where’s My Federal Refund?
Note: Since you’re getting the Earned Income Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit, the IRS can’t process your refund until after February 15, 2018. The earliest the IRS expects refunds to be available is February 27, 2018 (if you chose direct deposit or a debit card).FYI:
IF YOU FILED BOTH THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE DELAY!!!!

I should have clarified when I said I was able to order transcripts by mail. I order my return transcript by mail yesterday. From what I have been able to gather here, if you can order the return transcript you have been processed. It is the other ones that can appear blank. I also today was able to view my account transcript online, yesterday it was not there. The others are still not there and the account transcript was still missing data. I am a weekly, though. I am hoping that tomorrow morning I will be able to have updated info. I still don’t expect anything to deposit before mid to end of February but at least there is movement it appears. Last year I filed early and I did not see a refund until March. it seems waiting paid off this year.

This morning I was able to see my transcripts online. Did show 2 dates on the files one with an April 15th date and the other with a February 19th date. I am claiming both eitc and ctc. There is no refund issue date as of yet, My boyfriend who has no credits claimed was able to see his transcripts today as well it did have a refund issued date of 2/7. Lets see what happens. Any movement on anyone else?

@can’t wait
No, I didn’t order transcripts..have never ordered them in the past, so I didn’t want to all of a sudden do something different and mess up anything. Lol. -

EIC filer, W-2’s, no dependents
1/29/2018 = e-filed
1/29/2018 = accepted (one hour after filing)
2/02/2018 = PATH message appearedLooks like no early refunds as some people with EIC were hoping. I personally didn’t expect anything sooner than they said (Mid-End February)

Hello friends…
I filed w/ TT (paid fees up front) on 01/18
Was accepted (got one bar on WMR) on 01/18
Approved on 01/22 and given a DDD of 01/31
On 01/30 at 6:30 p.m. PST my REFUND was deposited!!!!!!I did file w/ EIC. I don’t know how it happened. I double and triple checked to make sure I in fact filed/qualified for the credit and I did. Nothing else in my circumstances changed from last year except the amount made and paying the fees up front (versus them going to an intermediary).
Last year, I filed on 01/12/2017 and can’t remember the exact timeline but didn’t get my refund until 02/22.
I know people think I’m lying. I promise I’m not. And I really am not trying to give false hope — I just want people to know that deposits are dropping!

Also there’s two type of transcripts.
an account transcript and a return transcript
Which came blank? -
February 2, 2018 at 1:43 am #4203406Candy
I’ve never received blank transcripts. last year ordered them 5 days after I filled and it had all my info. I’m not saying your wrong maybe they just started that because of soo many doing it
-

Judging by past experience, ordering transcripts by mail can mean absolutely nothing. You can order by mail whether you are processed or not. The IRS will literally send you a blank transcript. I got 2 of those least year. If you can order online transcripts, now that’s another thing altogether and usually means you are processed.
-
February 2, 2018 at 1:18 am #4203394casey
@willbleas so if you are able to order your transcript by mail that means you are done processing? they accepted my request for my transcript and told me allow 5 days to receive it by mail.
-
February 2, 2018 at 12:59 am #4203392
If you can order your return transcript, you are processed
-
February 2, 2018 at 12:54 am #4203390brandy
I was able to order transcripts by mail, but when I looked at the online transcripts they are N/A. So ordering by mail means nothing this year. Also, my daughter was able to order hers and she has yet to file her very first taxes ever.
-
February 2, 2018 at 12:44 am #4203388Mystie
Filed and Accepted 01/29 with EIC and ACTC
was able to order transcripts by mail 02/01 ( possibly sooner but I had only tried to order them online up to this point. They had my new address in the system.
*Fingers crossed for a DDD by Saturday*

I have the EIC and received my funds on 01/30 at 6:30 p.m. PST.
I used TT (fees were paid up front)
Filed 01/18/2018
Accepted by IRS 01/18/2018
Approved on 01/22/2018 and given a DDD of 01/31FUNDS DROPPED 01/30!
I double and triple checked to ensure I still qualified for EIC and I sure did! Last year, I didn’t get my return until 02/22.
Nothing changed other than my wage and paying for the fees up front from last year.

Filed & accepted early via turbo tax this year & last year.. Last year I did not receive a direct deposit until 2/21/17 & I had filed on 1/12/17.. So safe to say I am not expecting anything until around the 20th of Feb again this year. Not in any rush but I do not think filing early speeds up DD since credits were claimed.

There was a similar delay for EITC filers last year. Did anyone get a return sooner than expected last year? I filed far later than usual last year so the two-week wait didn’t seem strange
