I agree. Although it is odd that a ton of those still waiting filed with TT. I’m not sure there really is any method to their madness other than to drive us crazy with stress and anxiety by feeding us a bunch of letters and 45 – 60 day review crap. 🤬🤬🤬

@thicks…well I found my holdup…I just checked my earnings on ssa.gov and sure enough the only ones recorded are from my current employer which is exactly what Mrs. Smith told me when I called on the 28th. So now I have to get ahold of my previous one and see if she’ll resubmit them or if I need to just take my w2 to the ssa office.

I think it’s safe to say this has been the WORSE tax season I have ever witnessed in my entire life. At this rate the IRS is going to owe a fuck ton of interest towards people …

@cadkins85, I pray that they will update much sooner — the IRS tends to give itself an *adequate* window (heh!). In the meantime, if you haven’t already contacted your first employer to confirm, I recommend that you do so ASAP. They won’t have to turn away from their Freecell game for more than a minute or two!

Hnr block online…never had a problem and my return isn’t even as much as it was last year. I think my hold up is because I switched jobs in June but supposedly my first employer never submitted my wages….my transcripts match up with my return on everything but wages and they aren’t even updated yet but it says off to the side wages may not update until July.

I’m almost positive it’s not the software we are using to file our taxes. I really do think it’s the new screening procedures that got put in place. They are trying to catch people making bad claims on their W2’s to get more money but at the same time the people that are filing legit claims are getting screened for extra processing -

@gofigure
No, I used 1040.com. I’ve used them for years without any issues. Well, until now if course.

Glad I’m not the only one in the same situation but sad at the same time about it. Don’t kno what new tax screening protocol they are using this year but it has to go or change for next year. Im 36 and have filed my taxes since I first had a job out of high school and I have never had a problem getting my return until now. #staypositive #keepyaheadup #damnIneedmyMoney lol -

Got my cp05 in mail today. It’s weird how notice date on letter is March 9, 2020 and today is March 9 2020. Was told last week I believe on the 2nd of March that letter was sent out that day and my return might be being held because my employer hasn’t reported my earnings yet. Talked to my job and everything has already been sent In. Still have refund being processed on wmr

Got my cp05 today….now it’s just a waiting game I suppose. Some people say it’s a stall tactic and it doesn’t take 60 days….I sure as **** hope not.

@cadkins85 Smh and that’s another thing I’m reading that some ppl transcripts didn’t show anything or that ssa didn’t show anything but they still got their refund??? I guess different strokes for different folks. We the ones that actually get stuck on the highway to hell

@ProudFatherOF1 yeah I got nothing other than this whole thing is one giant stall tactic. I was told the income I claimed wasn’t matching what they had bc my employer hadn’t submitted my wages…my transcripts all match with what I claimed..sometimes wages don’t update on transcripts til mid July plus I ppl I work with have already received their refunds. I think I was just in that unlucky batch who glitched and am now stuck in resequencing hell.

@cadkins85 that’s my whole thing like how they would know you actually received a letter? I mean does it have a micro chip in the MF? Ppl reporting they never even received a letter and these are early filers up to mid February. I just don’t get it. Then ppl that filed last week of February already got DDD hell some already got their deposits

@ProudFatherOF1 honestly from what I have read about it it’s a letter telling you they are reviewing your info. If they need more information from you they’ll send you another letter and then when they complete the review they’ll send yet another letter letting you know. Mrs Smith-Wilson couldn’t give me exact details about my letter. She was just very adamant that I understand the review didn’t actually begin until I recieved the letter.

I filed 1/24 accepted 1/27…PATH 2/15…Transcript codes have been stuck at 570 for 3-2-2020 and 971 for 3-9-2020 since at least Feb 27th. Spoke to Mrs Smith-Wilson on the 27th..she seems to be a regular agent ppl are getting….and she tells the 971 means I’ll be getting a CP05 sent out the 9th for a 45 day review that doesn’t actually begin until I recieve the letter. So I get your 😡 and raise you 🤬.

Same here. I’m beyond frustrated I filed Jan. 28th. And I have nothing yet. I called Monday they told me the 60 day review crap. Hopefully wmr will update later because mine is still saying “we have received your return and it is being processed”
