My wife and I got married in December 2020, we filed our taxes married filing joint, claiming 4 children and it was accepted by the IRS 2/17 and our where is my refund bar And TT 152 have been gone for weeks. We had received $1400 on 3/12 and we have a deposit day of 3/17 for 3rd stimulus and still have not got our taxes or stimulus other than the $1400 on 3/12. What should we do?

Thank you guys for the info we really appreciate it. We’ve gotten so many conflicting stories from different sources and this forum site has helped me tremendously. Thank you again we will wait patiently and keep our hopes up. God bless.

Supposedly, the IRS will send the balance of the third EIP due to you after they process your 2020 return — and it won’t wait until next year.

We’ll see if it works out that way; there have been some things that the IRS has promised, but then they couldn’t make it work and they default to: “Claim it on your next year’s tax return.”

You can call the irs to speak to a live person. Most of the advance stimulus checks were based off 2019/2018 income whichever is most recent. Then they will determine the final amounts if you didn’t receive portions of stimulus when your 2020 taxes are approved and sent.

I read this in another post can’t remember which one exactly but that was the most helpful advice I got when I filed 3/3. I have received all stimulus but not refund yet.
