      Anyone else switched over to check being mailed after ID verify with 4883c letter and now the check is being sent out to the wrong address. I called IRS to update address and agent states it will take two weeks for system to reflect address change. If this has happened to anyone, how long did it take to receive check once address was updated. I have mail forwarding but the post office is stating they won’t forward a government check.

      Well, I hope that is not true. I changed Apt numbers and IRS said they will forward mail if my old apt is on my check. Seems like the Govt not on the same page.
