2019-01-02 16:27:32 TammyD so i received my refund the last week of October for the return i filed January 29 2018. It took so long. Actually gave up on it. They told me i needed to file an amendment simply because i got 2 lines mixed up. The numbers were correct, just mixed up. I don't like sending snail mail so i never did the amendment. Turns out they did it for me. Yaaaay!!!! They sent a check and then 3 days later i got a letter explaining everything.
2019-01-02 17:07:56 Gingersnap not logged in I'm really curious what this IRS letter is about and have absolutely no way of receiving it ... I see someone else got one on the 31st as well... Anyone else get a letter and if so, what was it about?? This is driving me crazy lol

2019-01-03 10:44:20 Nicole To those who are wondering about a letter from Holtsville, I keep getting them and they are just notices that I accessed the online site. Which is weird considering my online account doesn't work. Also yeah, no refunds during the shutdown. Their fax machines are not even working for me to send in my final approval for my exam. Figures that would happen just as I reach the finish line for my 2017 refund!
2019-01-03 10:49:37 Sheila_33 I am self employed and have all my information and my income made from last year filed with free tax usa, I also had the option of submitting electronically.

2019-01-03 14:44:57 Txmomof3girls Well with the government shutdown happening, it eats up those days of walking down the long winding path for early filers.

2019-01-04 07:22:38 India @Readyforwork: So not true My boyfriend got a refund approved for a direct deposit of Jan 4 however I’m so confused because they already tried to direct deposit Dec 5th sent to Walmart prepaid card and was rejected and sent back because he had moved and address didn’t match what was on the irs information. He called it’s they said it would go out as a paper check. Ended up being held for further review which caused him to get a tax advocate and tax advocate put in for a release on Dec 13th now all of a sudden he checks wmr and boom another direct deposit approved. We are so lost as normally checks go out for the second issuance not another direct deposit because all that’s going to happen is it’s going to get rejected by Walmart again since they closed his account Smh. He’s posed with the shutdown going on there’s no one to speak with to really get any real answers on this. Admins have any of you seen or heard of this happening before??? Please help. Thanks
