@nita don’t expect SBTPG to release them early. I’ve gotten my refund on the exact DDD that the IRS gives every time I use TT. SBTPG will hold them until last minute even though they claim not to.

DDD of 2/23 as of the 17th. Called both sbtpg and turbo tax and was able to confirm from both that they have my refund (they got it on the 17th) and turbo tax has been paid for the fees. But that my money will not be released until the 23rd. Turbo tax says they are not supposed to do that. But sbtpg says they are not “holding my refund” what else do you call it?

If you didn’t pay upfront SBTG never releases our money early always they exact DDD date or maybe one day early start paying upfront and your money would have hit Friday the 17th next year I’m paying upfront fuck STBG!

I called and it says the same thing for me. My refund was sent to my bank today but i bank with Varo so because of the holiday I’m assuming I won’t see a deposit until overnight Monday (technically Tuesday)

Yes imma start paying upfront because you get it quicker SBTG takes forever I will never go through them again DDD for 2/23 and nothing yet they’ll hold your money until the last minute.

@Peanut I’m not sure who H&R Block uses to remove the funds or if it’s SBTPG, but from previous experience, SBTPG doesn’t release funds early unfortunately. I have a DDD of 2/23 and the earliest we can expect them would be 2/22, but it will most likely be that 2/23. They hold them very long even though they say they don’t.

Yes. When you call the rep on back of card they say by 6 am tomorrow for me but some people said they were told Tuesday. Also if you call 800 472 5625 it should say that they took their fees and that the remainder balance is in your account. But my is still showing 0 balance

I have dealt with SBTPG for years now and they have never released anything earlier than possibly one day prior to the DDD. Last year they deposited it to my CK card on the day that was listed by the IRS. Unfortunately, if you are going through SBTPG for your fees or your refund advance, you will NOT be getting it any earlier than the DDD or a day before.

PNC bank here as well, they don’t even give paychecks at midnight on Fridays guys they will probably hold until the darn 22nd. They want every penny of interest they can earn while they lend the swift accounts out until due.

Over a certain amount, they will mail a check because of limits on direct deposit amounts. Over 20k falls into that. Shouldn’t delay processing your return though. Congrats on the amount though!

Still unfunded, asked a question about DD and instead of answering someone at sbtpg switched my dd to a cashier’s check, been fighting this since yesterday and gotten nowhere, apparently once they switch it over to a cashiers check they cant switch it back to direct deposit. Turbo Tax wont even try to contact SBTPG to help me out because I haven’t been able to talk to anyone over the phone, tickets/email ignored. I really hope you guys have better experiences.

We’ve been using the Emerald card for our refund for years now and I know that at least the last few years we had access to the funds on the day the card said. There was a couple times we got it early but I think it was before PATH was a thing. We filed and was accepted on 1/24/23 and finally today we updated from the Path msg to a DDD of Feb. 23rd just like you. It’d be great to get it earlier but next Thursday isn’t too far away.

Thanks for the replies! WMR finally changed today saying DDD should be 23rd. Last ylear we had access on the date WMR said the DDD would be but we use the Emerald card so that might be why we never get it earlier than stated. I hope yall get an update/DDD soon!

Well don’t worry yourself s to much on my transcript at first was showing just the bottom two and were blank as well then I would say just this week sometime that all four had 2022 after path lifted on the 15 then on the 17th I got my ddd for 2/23 so just stay positive if you see your transcripts updating every other day then I would say next week you have a ddd , and also any time irs works on your transcript your as of date will always change until you get that ddd or 846 !

I’m on eastern time. So up until 4 pm pacific/7 pm eastern, ima still hold out hope. Just like tomorrow, SBTPG is open from 8 to Noon pacific, 11 to 3 eastern. Not to mention that Presidents Day isn’t a holiday they are observing this year. I’ve been deposited on either Saturday or Sunday before in the past, whether we get it this weekend or not, let’s be positive and fortunate.
